Forging an Anniversary Knife | Knife Making

In this video I am forging a Hunting Knife from a file. The particular file used in this knife making video was a farriers rasp. Farriers rasps (when checked properly for carbon) make great knives.
Now that the surprise is out, this video was requested by someone to surprise their wife with an anniversary gift. It was a really awesome experience to be a part of and I am glad he chose me to make it!

The handle material looks really good.. is that bone? What machine did you use for the engraving?

Thanks so much! It’s camel bone segmented with maple Burl and red micarta. My best friend has a laser engraver.
