Hey Roy. Can I take any old hammer and make the face soft? If so how? Thanks for all your great vids

dont hit 2 hardened hammers togather you will regret it, yes just ask my dad, got sharded while trying to drive a claw hammer to pry some wood off years ago, and he thought that was what was causeing his leg pain and why things were not heeling, turns out its a build up of calcium at the back of the knee where he had it replaced, but now from the biopsy where they went to test the area he has a stabbing pain and has for the last few weeks that wakes him up from a cold sleep, since it was done three weeks ago.

Yep that's why I said it's a soft face hammer striking a harden hammer :-)

yes and majority of workers will never point that out like you do, they just say never strike to hammers togather, and never explain that it can shard off or chip, though I guess it does have that warning lable on one when you buy a new hammer, since we have such a litagat society so willing to sue, but point is he could have avoided it all if he would not have tried using the hammer as a chisel soo many years ago.
