I end up maxing out my smithing stones and black sand steel every month because money is so easy to get. I normally forge the training weapons, killer, and iron weapons and towards midgame when I get combat arts like Hunter's Volley, Swift Strikes etc. I forge silver for the high might for the maximum damage out put. I also try to get 10 mythril? ( don't remember how many) for Gradivus, because of the 1-2 range and high hit/might.
@NoNameTheFirst4 жыл бұрын
Training Weapon Forges are also quite useful for spamming Combat Arts. Very cheap and plenty of durability.
@ihatehandles694204 жыл бұрын
Nah training weapons are good for low weight and high hit rate. steel and silver are better for combat arts for pure damage. Though if a training weapon + combat art kills then its better than using steel.
@DoctorGenzo4 жыл бұрын
there's merchants that unlock that will sell you the basic materials (smithing stones, black-sand steel) which you can use your huge amount of gold on. it makes basic forges and repairs much easier.

Thanks for these videos, 3H has alot of intricacies so these are helpful. Training weapons are pretty essential to forge in maddening. No way around that. Steel Bow + worked great for me early on and the mini bow + is really nice for hunters volley for the high hit and decent crit. Almost like a poor man's killer bow.
@johnnymind41514 жыл бұрын
Yep, it's what I was already doing in my playthroughs, except for the training weapons +, I just used the iron ones, I'll keep it in mind if I need even lighter weapons!
@xander09014 жыл бұрын
I'm always going for Training+ and Killer+ weapons. Never really branched out to other weapon types since the materials are annoying to get. I haven't experimented much with steel weapons since I think they are kind of a trap tier. Maybe keep one around to finish off a unit with a combat art if you aren't able to get silver weapons yet but it feels really bad when you get ambushed and your guy is carrying a steel lance or something like that.
@IntrusiveThot4204 жыл бұрын
The only good Steel weapons are maybe the Steel Sword+ and Steel Bow+ from early tournaments, because they're so strong for when you get them. If you early recruit Cyril and level his Bow for early Point-Blank Volley, giving him the Steel Bow+ can be amazingly strong. Hard hitting Sword users can also make good use of the Steel Sword+ to deal killing damage early on with Wrath Strike.
@andersonlarios72574 жыл бұрын
If you're going to walk around with a heavy weapon just upgrade it to silver. I'm pretty sure it's lighter and stronger

It's worth noting that one of the abilities you can acquire is weight -5 for Fortress Knight. This will help when you wanna use one of the more powerful but heavier weapons.
@PandaBwoPrime4 жыл бұрын
Well at that point, you’ll always be mega slow. It’s probably best to go with iron+ and killer+/steel+ for accuracy and damage.
@wesnohathas19934 жыл бұрын
It's important to note that + weapons are the only direct upgrades when forging. Other weapon variations come with different stat distributions that come with distinct advantages and disadvantages. Training weapons are light, accurate and durable, but have low might; steel weapons are strong and durable, but they're heavy; silver weapons are very strong, but break easily, etc. It's worth giving units separate lightweight and hard-hitting heavy weapons to choose from. Weight won't matter in a situation where you have no hope of outspeeding the enemy. You also won't always want the lightest weapons possible because units will be able to use heavier weapons without any AS penalty as their strength stat grows or you obtain the weight-3/5 abilities.

Besides weapons like a Wu Dao+. Would you say its okay to keep repairing things like a Iron Sword + , is that what you meant by repairing only forged weapons? Or are the iron + weapons not worth repairing at that point?
@SailorSatan-ko5ti4 жыл бұрын
KumaKing From my own experience, it’s just always better to forge a weapon rather than repairing it. However, when a weapon can’t be forged further, (+ weapons), you should be repairing those when they break. What he’s saying is it’s just better to upgrade normal weapons than to repair them, because you’ll need to upgrade them eventually. Upgrading also restores durability so there’s no point in just fixing an iron bow if you can upgrade it, considering the extra 2 smithing stone is only 200 gold.
@IntrusiveThot4204 жыл бұрын
I would aay the Iron Bow+ is worth repairing because of its best-in-class accuracy. Sometimes you just need a little chip, and with Curved Shot's 30 extra Hit, the Iron Bow+ can be super useful
@KumaKing4 жыл бұрын
@@SailorSatan-ko5ti Yeah that makes a lot of sense. So basically the path should be to buy a weapon. Forge that weapon instead of repair. And then repair later. There's basically no reason to repair a regular weapon first instead of forging it. Thanks a bunch I appreciate the explanation!
@Starwars-Fanboy4 жыл бұрын
I found that steel bows were really nice to forge early on. Alot of uses and high damage so you can spam combat arts and make curved shot pack a bigger punch. The accuracy was pretty negligible due to curved shot and things like hit + 20.
@lsrrr38574 жыл бұрын
forging iron sword lance axe into their + counterparts give the exact same bonus in stats, same with steel silver killer and brave. Bow gives extra weight -1 (except killer bow) when forging compared to the other weapons. Gauntlet forging gives completely different set of bonuses. Personally I think wo dao+ gives the best total bonuses: durability +10, Mt +1 and crit +10.

Online travelers can sell you Mythril. Mythril, Umbral Steel, Agarthium, and Wootz Steel are quite common among Online Travelers.
@SailorSatan-ko5ti4 жыл бұрын
Unova's Finest Like they said above, sothis paralogue, online travelers give mythril. You can also get it from specific auxiliary battles postgame. They will say like “Monsters at ___” or something. These missions are just routing 4 monsters, and when they happen to be birds, you can get up to 4-7 mythril from it alone. The Rhea paralogue post-game (you need to have at least c support with rhea before timeskip) has altered golems, which give I think 3-5 mythril by breaking their armor. In short, it’s very easy to get a ton of mythril.
@manuelsilva99934 жыл бұрын
Grind sothis paralogue and rheas golem paralogue. Those with the random times birds are thrown into other missions/other paralogues (there're 2 birds in hildas) ive managed to get over 35 mythril in a run.

training weapons are a noob trap. low weight doesnt mean much by endgame when you have much higher str or spd. being weighed down a bit by a steel weapon isnt going to cost you the double-attack every time, many times it wont cost you the double at all. but the tiny amount of might on a training weapon might make it so even doubling wont kill the victim, which just makes you the victim in the end. if you connect online, youll notice that most items you get from the glowing points where other players died, youre getting training weapons. the weapons they used when they died, because they refuse to upgrade. upgrade yor weapons. use iron. use steel. use silver. especially silver. its lightweight and significantly stronger. durability is not an issue.

I would very much like to see this as well! Three Houses is my first Fire Emblem game, so I feel that even with my ~400 hours I have, I still have a bunch of stuff I am learning from all of these videos. I usually run Iron+ and Silver+ weapons on most people as it is a good mix of accuracy and max damage output. They also have good durability for when I have things like Ingrid being a dodge tank and her extra speed means she is attacking twice for each unit that attempts to attack her. Crit weapons would be nice, but most other weapons would be broken, possibly before the end of the battle.
