Hey buddy, just binged watched your challenger videos. Has been my favourite car since 1984, i bought a 1970 340 for £800, kept it for 10 years and sold it for £2000. It was an Austrian assembled car, so super rare even back then in England. Regret selling it now, but on my retirement 4 years ago i bought a 2015 5.7 challenger. Love it, driven to the south of France, and did a tour of Scotland this year, got so much attention, and averaged 31 mpg. Cant wait for your next video, keep it going mate.

Another great video. Heat,penetrant, impact tools and excessive violence always gets those stuck bolts loose. I really hope you succeed in getting some sponsors in the parts business. Looks like it might be a good thing.

Hey man I just binged your Hot Rod Power Tour videos and I have to say great job! I’m loving the Coronet and her story as well. Question for you. Where did you get your 6.1 from? I have an 06 Charger R/T 64,000 miles 1 owner that I got off a guy whose son ruined the engine. I’m trying to get her back on the road and I’m thinking about putting in the 6.1 and calling it a day. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey thanks man I appreciate it! So the 6.1 Hemi in my opinion is the best gen 3 engine you can get aside from the Hellcat but they are the hardest engine to come by. They were only made from 2005 to 2010 and are pretty pricey when you find them but if you can get one for a decent price I highly recommend sweeping it up. I got my engine through a friend of a friend and got a good buddy discount and looked out but finding one naturally might be a little bit more difficult. Definitely don't want to discourage you but they are well worth it!

@@BryceCold no problem! and I appreciate the comeback. It looks like i'll have to do some shopping around for some part outs for sure. I'll have to make an IG page for the Charger so this way I can show off the 6.1 whenever I come across one lol

Had to wait for availability for the Dipper and for the weather to get better. There was a lot of snow on the road and I was not able to take the car up to get dipped. Now that the weather is good and they have availability I'm going to be making the trip up there really soon. Probably within a few weeks

Your right front fender, slap stick assembly, and axle all appear to be out of a '70 challenger
@BryceCold
@BryceCold Жыл бұрын
Well come to find out both front fenders are actually off of a 70 Challenger for some reason. The center console is definitely out of a 70 Challenger because it has the seat belt buckle holder instead of the 71 through 74 ashtray Style center console but this car was a factory slapstick car but yeah I'm not sure if that assembly in the car itself is Factory or came off of a 70. The rear axle is also Factory but I'm assuming it came out of that car.
@commentaccount49

The reason I think the whole assembly is out of the '70 is the round shaft on the shifter. In '71-'73 they switched from that round one to a broad, flat shifter with a 'T-handle' on top instead of a round knob. Can't wait to see the metal work when it comes back from the dippers. I'm redoing a '71 myself that was even a bit worse than this one, lol! I wish I'd filmed it like you're doing, good luck bro @@BryceCold

Side note, I have procured Myself a 1969 Ford Torino GT That is in IMPECCABLE shape for having sat in a field for 38 years. I just need time to fly back to kansas to pull it in and start working on it. I have a 351 I can put into it. I need to find the rest of the driveline, and I'm thinking about putting in a custom suspension to lower the car just a little. Make it a good smooth highway driver. It has awesome patina on it but where it has sat for so long I think I'm going to go ahead and re-paint it the factory blue-green color. I'll make an instagram account for it once I have time to pull it out.

Yeah, pretty much haha, but like I said, the bones of the car are solid, and that's all I care about. A 71 Challenger with mostly all new sheet metal is still a 71 Challenger that was saved and put back on the road 👍🏻 Also, nice score with the Torino. Those cars are super awesome 👌🏻
