Was that at Metal Works Speedshop? Once I can do my “all out” build on the General Lee, they were on the top of my list of shops to have it done! Glad to see Kermit getting taken care of 👍
@BryceCold Жыл бұрын
So there are two Metal Works businesses in Eugene, the speed shop and the chemical Dipper, they used to be the same company but then they split up but kept the same name.

Is there a big advantage of dipping vs media blasting? I’m next door to you in Grass Valley…need to get my 70 Camaro body done, but was wondering dip vs blasting.
@BryceCold Жыл бұрын
Blasting is very abrasive and can warp your sheet metal and blast holes in thinner areas that you may not want holes in. Plus you'll never be able to remove all of the media that was blasted in the body. It'll eventually settle into areas, trap moisture, and start rusting the car again. Dipping the car is non abrasive and soaks the car and gets rid of all the rust in every nook and cranny. With blasting, you won't be able to get everywhere like you would with dipping. Chemical dipping is a better bang for the buck.
