It never ceases to amaze me how the pine straw and leaves ect make a carpet, or blanket over the graves and just rolls right off! It’s crazy!!!! So sad to see these graves so forgotten and covered, as you can tell they’ve been “forgotten” for quit sometime! Thank you for showing them and letting them be remembered if only for a brief moment in time! ❤️

amazes me that there are that many forgotten cemeteries in Georgia. i grew up on the gulf coast of Mississippi, and we would stumble across old family plots that settled the coast back in the early 1800's,,,,,and there are people like you that help protect them.

These cemetery adventures are fascinating. Really old abandoned cemeteries i can understand but a cemetery with graves only 50 yrs. old i don't understand. The more i watch your videos the more i become convinced my great grandparents must rest in abandoned cemetery. Unfortunately i no longer live in that area so the possibility of finding them is slim. It makes me crazy that anyone who may have known is now gone. Keep up the good work. You may well help somebody like me to find a grave they have been looking for. I'm anxiously anticipating part 2 of this adventure.

Robert, I am one of your biggest fans and watch everything you put on Utube. That's why i noticed how you spoke to your cousin Robert about his getting you all lost. I understand I felt his heart and heard my sister saying that to me just yesterday. And just how bad he feels cause he knows he does! I'll probably be banished now but I hope to didn't step on your toes too bad. God bless you all for letting your fans join in your honoring the past names on these stones.

Might be time to rehaft one of those straw rakes you've unearthed at the Byrd Place. That pine straw on the graves is tedious to clean leaned over using your hands. "A straw rake would work just dandy" says Grandpa.

@AdventuresIntoHistory3 жыл бұрын
The information on the funeral home market has long worn away or been damaged by the elements, and no headstone - the survivors probably couldn’t afford one. Or no one cared to buy one.
