The error coin, happened with a partially filled die. Could be worth $1000+. FANTASTIC FIND!

I'm glad I'm not the only cousin that has tons of stuff that I haven't listed because I'm not sure about it's value, or it's something complicated or needs prep work. I need an assistant!

I would be concerned that the "error" on that Liberty Nickel is intentional "post mint damage". Looks like after the 3 was removed the surface in that area was smoothed aka "tooled". Before you risk you eBay feedback, I'd recommend taking it to a local coin dealer/shop and seeing what they say.

Love the Levi's. 1980s retro is super popular now with college students. That will sell fast. Price that one up my cousin.

Thank you for a good video. Enjoyed the Kodak cameras and the guitars. The fishing vest was outta this world, noone in their right mind would put some of those pins on the same article of clothing. Well, all is not lost... have a great weekend.

Couldn't that clock key also be used to wind a music box of some kind?

I wonder if the patches and pins represented the year, or era, of that piece of clothing, as well. Could help with keywords for listing them!

Some of those calligraphy pens tips are made of gold. That fat leaded pen would go well with those large leads you have.

On the cartier salt shakers you have silver corrosion rather than silver tarnish, that is why it is not coming off easily (the process gets sped up by the salt I believe, that is why it is common on silver salt containers). I have used in the past spraying household ammonia (quite low%) on silver corrosion, leaving it for a few minutes and gently scrubbing it with something not very abrasive like a kitchen scourer, then it progressively falls off, rinse and repeat as necessary but don't leave the ammonia on too long (other people have other methods). It will look a lot better (and I think good enough to sell) but the corrosion will have eaten into the silver a bit so the surface will not look exactly the same without a total polish. The cartier shakers seem to commonly come in boxes of 8 as I have seen a few examples on line and I don't know why you would need so many (some special dish in the 1920s that required everyone at the table to add their own salt?), so now the box is gone its better to split them into more useful smaller sets that more people will want. A great find.

Great answer and knowledge, thank you! I have a few silver items here like a cup, spoons, old jewelry, what's your favorite silver polish/cleaner? Thanks!
@EriPol-b6u
@EriPol-b6u 5 ай бұрын
@@willwinl Well it depends on how valuable the items are to you how much care you take cleaning them (there are a lot of opinions online on which techniques to use), I use Goddards long term silver polish (liquid) applied with a microfibre cloth to prevent microscratches (and over the years wearing down the silver with each polish) and a cotton swab to get into details. Sometimes you end up with little black spots on old silver that will not shift unlike the normal tarnish, they are also silver corrosion, and I treat them with ammonia in the same way. Be very careful with old jewelry silver polish and dips etc can sometimes damage and discolour the stones in them.

Rusty you should list those Halloween items individually on auction, and wait until Sept or early Oct. They will go through the roof!

Hi Rusty it's your eyeglasses lady again. As a musician and former luthier's apprentice i would love to get my hands on those guitars and see how they sound! I truly appreciate your knowledge and respect for vintage instruments, especially that you know when to have a pro do repair work on damage you're unable to repair properly. It's shocking how many ruined instruments I've seen because someone thought they could DIY it themself with crazy glue or whatever. Some people just don't get it. Keep on doing what you're doing over there♡♡♡
