Would have liked to have learned the ballpark value of some these.

$125 for ALL of the tools. 🤯 Do you use Google Lens or eBay to get a comp on each item before you decide to purchase it?

Im in North Carolina now and over the last few weeks ive done ripped all my pockets cuz of shoving rocks in them lol. All kinds of pretty stuff just laying around. The most colorful ground ive seen so far tho is Michigan. Over 4 days i brought probably 200lbs of rocks home. It was like walking on rainbows out there.

Where is the best places to get lots of jewelry like that?
@spbaldwin7 күн бұрын
Sorry you had to deal with all that nonsense from eBay. It’s for things like that that I have a Legal protection plan. I highly recommend you get one. You can get free legal advice from a lawyer and they can even tell you how to respond in situations like that, even issue letter on your behalf for free. I’ve been in a similar situation and the assistance from the lawyer help keep me from being so stressed and definitely saved a lot of time money. Thanks for all the great content.

I’m trying to be constructive here: you didn’t list resale amount for 90% of the items you showed, you thought the three dollar plastic piece of jewelry was “prettier” than signed pieces; it’s not really your place to say if something is “boring” or not. Especially if it’s a signed piece in good shape. If it has resale value, it has a resale value 😂 You also didn’t say what you consider worth selling as an individual piece and for how much. Your gauge is different than some other sellers. Just because it’s worth a certain amount doesn’t mean people are going to buy it for that amount. The market will tell you what it’s worth. Also, how you photograph something can really impact final sale. I’ve sold stuff at a lower price that was signed costume for mid-double digits : as long as it’s presented well and you don’t lie about the condition, and you show all the defects, someone will buy it. Also, sometimes people will buy signed costume w/imperfections for replacement parts for a decent price. Doesn’t have to be in perfect condition to sell for a decent price. If you get into selling costume jewelry to *only* sell items for $200+ you’re going to be very unhappy. That level of quality is exclusive, harder to find, in fact kind of rare, and usually doesn’t sell for that amount. It’s costume jewelry. It was made to be fast fashion. Sometimes you might get lucky Depending on provenance/condition, but that’s a very small market. Most vintage costume jewelry sells for under $100. and that’s why people like it too. It’s fun it has sentimental value. It has a legacy attached that was designed to be affordable. It was never supposed to be out of the range of affordability for the average consumer. That’s the whole point of costume jewelry. That’s why it’s fun! There is something charming about the mass produced quality. And you can play that up. There’s a history to it. It’s uniquely American in a lot of circumstances. The costume jewelry industry basically was created by Americans. The value is also in that tradition as well. And if you understand the limitations of costume jewelry, you can really celebrate it. It’s a really joyful, fun experience collectors get really enthusiastic about and that’s why I love selling costume jewelry. Also, there’s joy and educating your audience who are new to costume pieces. Not all duds are duds.

One of the reasons I love costume jewelry is that it is NOT expensive, but it may match a piece of clothing or have a particular colour I love. Value often is more than monetary.

"Not really high quality..." We are ostensibly talking "Costume" jewelry - I would not throw any of these items & probably wear them. Flash all fine items, get mugged.

While I still don’t trust Lorenzo I do feel like this is actually a step in the right direction especially if they could learn something from a movie like Godzilla X Kong that you don’t need to spend a crap ton of money to have an effects heavy blockbuster, plus it would be cool to see decepticons transform into Cobra vehicles.

I have about 50 brooches from my mom, and grandmothers estate. Thanks for the tips. I'm sure most of them, or all are just costume. Most have no makers mark. A few look extremely old, but the clasp is a bit of a giveaway.

Why can't I find all this jewelry they have on 3 different channels online? I have checked their 3ebay stores. Nothing. A few broaches we have seen in past videos. Disappointed to not find hardly any. Granted this video is 8 months ago but they have 3 pcs of fine jewelry. Some pearls and 2 others and a bit of their costume pcs but other than that out of all the jewelry we see on videos none is listed where is it all? I have learned a lot so love for the teaching but if i can't purchase any of the items ever shown... 😕
