What a fascinating graveyard I think the fact it's been left to run down adds to its beauty, I love to read the headstones and I wonder what kind of life they must have had loved the video and the the piano playing was wonderful was that you on the piano ❤

It’s like the people live on eternally throughout the tress and the life dancing around in the beautiful sunshine ☀️ I felt drawn to visit on a blue sky day, I’m so glad I did was a magical couple of hours it’s huge the video hardly shows the scale of the place, if you look hard enough you can see where the beautiful paths would have been, it would have looked magnificent, I’d love to see some photographs if they exist of how it once was. The footage of the houses near by would have been the homes these well to do Victorians would have lived in, one can imagine the horse drawn carriages and the magnificent steam engines thundering through like a dragon 🐉 with fiery breath x thank you for watching I’m glad you shared your thoughts 💭 ❤️🎵

Edinburgh looks great in the Autumn sun Excellent vid and drone footage That churchyard must have had important people buried there as the headstones are so big Enjoyed watching 😊

Yes but mostly forgotten x would have been quite the place to be seen on Sundays after church in Queen Victoria’s era x the Victorians were extremely proud of there grave yards and were obsessed with death ☠️

Ey up me duck. I absolutely agree with you about the graveyard. So beautiful and peaceful but also a very sad. I love old church buildings and walking around graveyards. They are places that i feel at peace with myself and a sense of tranquility, a rare thing for me... but they also make me ponder over things and make me sad that so many are simply forgotten by family. I really enjoyed this one Macey, that graveyard was beautiful if we're allowed to use such a word for these places x

The Victorians were so dramatic this place would have been an absolutely immaculate garden cemetery people taking strolls in their Sunday best clothes the headstones were a status symbol of the wealth of the family, I’m sure they’d of been horrified at the neglect, but in a way I find it romantic and beautiful, nature taking back, it reminds me of my own fragile mortality and the short insignificant window of time every generation has. I must visit Newington soon it’s very similar x thank you Sog x much love ❤️ to you from me xx
