I’d argue that this is one of the better T-54s at 8.0, it has a DSHK, a laser rangefinder and a stabiliser. The Israeli Tiran 4 has none of that for instance

This isn't even the worst 8.0 t54. The normal ones don't have a stabilizer or rangefinder at the same br. This might be bad but it could be soooo much worse.

@@PantsofVance Germany 8.0 is fantastic. DF105 is one hell of a tank on its own, then you have the Raketenautomat, the Leo 1, and the Marder 1A3 as other strong 8.0s. BMP-1 and RakjPz are kinda bad, but you don't have to use them.

People if you’re thinking about getting this, just get the wma instead I have had the best time with that and practically researched the whole tree easily

I prefer the chinese T-54 ones, far better. That's why I bought it, but it's not a special premium vehicle and there's better ones like type 69 and ZTZ59D1

I don't have this, but I imagine I'd prefer the Type 69 over it much like I do for the normal Type 59. The better gun handling on the Type 69 and mobility just fit in so much better at this BR.

This thing got me a great deal of China and I don't regret getting it at a 50% discount, I love it, but man the uptiers are draining and demotivating. It's a shame especially when I've finally about finished the rest of the 8.0 lineup, which is so cool and diverse, but it faces the same terrible matchmaker. This BR range needs some serious decompression NOW (looking at you, T55AM...)

When it was 7.7 it was cracked, but now that its 8.0 its not worth it because of the up BR games. The issue comes from the price more than anything. If it was free it would be alright.

i played the normal type 59 and honestly i had a pretty good time. I like having the aphe at that br. Although when you fight a rat like an xm800 or fox it does suffer

T69 || G with the WMA301 is better and I'deven recommend the ZTZ96A (P) over the ZTZ59A.

I wish it's apds was like it used to be it used to perform like basic 100mm apds but now it struggles to pen a T-55s ufp and at long range you cant do much despite the laser since your rounds are just so slow compared to everything else

Why is this 8.0 with a stabilizer and LSR, but the USSR tech tree ones at the same BR are the same things with no stabilizer or rangefinder?

I think the only redeeming part about this tank is the rangefinder and snazzy marketplace camo, but why bother buying it the type 59 is just there but without the rangefinder and slap it with a talisman

They weren't moved up because they were overperforming. 6.7 players complained so much that Gaijin shunted them up to 8.0. So they just got shoved up for vibes reasons to a BR they don't belong at.

@stranger299a That 105mm L7 APDS is in my opinion the best 8.0 round. It pens everything short of the T-55AM-1, T-55 AMD-1, IS-7, and I believe the AMX-50 Foch will retaining good spalling. If you know wherr to aim, I find it difficult not to oneshot with that round. On top of this, the leopard 1 also gets speed that most tanks are lacking around this range. Get somewhere unexpected quick, and you won't need a stabilizer. I find that a stabilizer is only really useful for suspension shots, not having to wait to shoot when peeking, and firing on the move at enemies while I'm on the way to a flank. It can also help in snapshots when some enemy shows up unexpectedly, but that rarely happens as I usually know where they are going to arrive from audio cues and the minimap.

People think that the 8.0 leo is good because it is german and german = op and should be upbr'd. İ am tired of german vehicles getting nerfed and getting up in br at the same time
