What a GREAT road trip! I wish I was 40 years younger to make a trip like that (Yeah, I'm an old guy -- 80). We were sort of neighbors. I used to live just up the road from you in Fairfield (stationed at Travis AFB). I loved it up there.

Re-crafting the nose of the Skullclops,you should speak to a good knife maker,they cast stuff in Aluminium and use lathes and stuff,a really good skill base for finishing the nose in cast aluminium, i would suggest Black Beard Projects but he's based in Europe,you could ask Green Beetle see what he suggests,never seen him cast alloys though!! 🙂
