Abby your home is so very pretty. When I watch your video's it is like stepping back in time for me. When my grandmother was still living and my growing up years. I see so many similar things you have that I now have since my mother passed. The picnic basket you have on your desk, I have the same one. It has to be at least 100 years old. It was the picnic basket my grandmother used. I have never quite known how to display it until I saw your same basket. I never have wanted to use for picnicking for fear it would get ruined. Life truly is a gift isn't it. It is up to each of us to enjoy everyday we are gifted.

Hello Madelyn, That was my daughter knitting she's making a present for her sister (baby blanket). I crochet too. Lots of painting and drawing going on here. My main artists in the house are my husband and daughter (they do all forms acrylic, water colors, chalk, etc), but all of us like to sketch. Have a very cozy week :)

We are big fans of choc chunk cookies. That tea blend sounds yummy. I love that it seems you're living in a snow globe. Were preparing for a heat wave next week , couldn't be more opposite. Haha. There's nothing like flames to sooth and make something hygge whether its a wood heater or a camp fire. I just got the sweetest new candle holder , the bottom is a banksia pod thats been shaped to fit a slim candle and a fluted glass cover. Its perfect for story time . Abby Jo the cookies look delicious! I adore my Mockmill 200 and grind my grains regularly. I love the buttery taste of Einkorn. I also use hard wheat, soft, wheat, spelt and rye depending on the application and recipes. My wet sourdough starter is 100% hard white wheat and my dry starter is Einkorn.

Hi Abby Jo! I always feel transported watching your videos, almost like it's another dimension. The combination of videography, music, and your calm voice❤❤❤ When the pandemic hit I decided to learn sourdough bread baking. Because I'm gluten intolerant, I decided to use Einkorn. It took a while but I finally have finessed the dough, and know what a good dough looks like. I mill the einkorn fresh for every batch. I have no digestive, or other issues with it. Rye is high in gluten, and probably not the best choice for your daughter🌸❤🌸 thank you for sharing the hygge life!

Abby Jo, I've had a Mock mill for several months; I love milling my own flour. I'm starting a new series on my channel called "Pie Time and Tea with Jeri", but I've yet to find a good recipe for pie crust made with whole grain flours. If you come up with a mixture that works well for pie crust please let me know.

I make my own brown sugar. 2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup molasses or more if you want a darker sugar. So much fresher than the store bought. Cookies look delicious.

We coat them with mineral oil at least once a week. I'm very careful to use microfiber mat when drying dishes, so not to soak the counters. :) You have to maintain them, but I do really like them.
