Nice job! Just pop the nose fairing and buy yourself some 6-inch hex keys with a 3/8 socket on the end and you can get to the top clamps through the gap in the plastics. Hope this helps!

Great video and very helpful. Overhauling my forks right now. Replacing all seals and bushes. To avoid removing the tank again I am planning to re-route the fork cable (left fork) not to go under the tank - just hope is long enough. Just note there is washer that fits under the spring. You can see it in the spare parts catalogue and I thought I lost it but it gets stuck at the bottom - can be seen using a torch and fished out with a magnet. I think yours got stuck at the bottom as well. Great video, well done !!👍👏

Thanks for posting this video. I have the right fork pulled apart and your video was very helpful. I backed off the preload and found that it was only a 3/4 turn (On the right fork). Just wondering if that is what you had? Just doesn't seem like much. I still have to change the oil and then do the left fork. Hopefully it goes ok. Thanks again.

This is mental amount of work just to service the forks. I just dropped off my MS at a local bike shop to replace the seals, but after seeing this i wonder if i should go to the dealer instead.

You can do it without removing the fairings and tank cover... I watched my service tech do it but you may need to modify some tools to get them to fit.

What do u mean? The fuel connectors are easy. And the breath pipes have a second connection, u don't need to remove them from under the tank.

Don't take full top off once opened, crack bottom nut with 8mm Allen key and full insides slide out. Much easier. Putting seal back on, you risk damaging it sliding over the grooves, cover them with polypocket or glove to get seal over them.

Forks need service after 30k klm .. i decided to do it my self just from curiosity and cause i care for my bike more than any service center.

That is a royal PITA..... just to replace the fork oil.... it would be nice if there was a drain bolt/ plug and the bottom of the shock and a fill port at the top to use between bushing/ seal replacement service intervals.
