Using our 1150R Rotator to give a forklift a lift after it fell off the edge of a rail spur dock next to a set of live railroad tracks. Had to work under a roof and around cross-bracing to perform the lift and the recovery. Interesting and challenging. Thanks for watching and God bless. www.paypal.me/RotatorRon www.midwesttruck.net/ www.guardianangeldevices.com/... Follow the link for special pricing on the Guardian Angel Elite seen in this video. Never ceases to amaze me, you get the nastiest most impossible looking jobs...and stay so calm, just letting your computer brain figure angles, stresses, possible problems, so friendly to every one involved, even if someone is angry about the accident and yells at you...AND the most impressive thing is the first thing you think of is praying for anyone involved, and possibly injured!!

Personally, I'd leave swearing in. KZbin isn't the PBS channel, and lets face it, most of the kids who use this platform do so because their parents don't care and never monitor them. Swearing is part of life and can never be avoided.
@RonPratt
@RonPratt 4 жыл бұрын
@@iamReddington I strongly disagree. Swearing does not HAVE to be a part of life. It is only a part of life if we ALLOW it to be. We have control over the words that come out of our mouths. Words are extremely powerful!!! Words have the power to build or to destroy, to heal or to harm, to conquer or to defeat..... I take it is a responsibility to be a positive role model. I am not perfect and I will never claim to be. If we allow our children to be bombarded with "non-traditional" values, then how can we expect them to grow into respectable adults? I have many parents who thank me, stating they know that they can trust this channel to be watched by their children. I will not break that trust. There are still people in this world who appreciate traditional values. This channel IS AND WILL REMAIN family-friendly. If this channel is not to your liking, then you are free to find something more suitable to your taste. Thanks and God bless.

Great video Ron. The last job I had before retiring one of the things I did was forklift operator it is easy to get them stuck. And easy to back off the side like that. Never had a place that went down like that. But 3 or 4 inches will make you have to be pulled out. We had one that would lift a semi trailer so he could put the folks though the top and lift the whole forklift up and back on the concrete. God bless.

Having driven forklift for many years, I've seen similar things happen. I have seen a couple recovered with a flatbed where the end was under the front wheels and just winched (dragged) up onto it, but the rear wheels hadn't sunk into mud. I've pulled them out of mud using another forklift, front loader, and tractor.

Some fascinating, precision work there Ron; not a huge amount of brute force this time but very interesting to watch you wiggling the boom between the roof and the cables. All the different movements that the rotator can make were used and all controlled, inch-perfect, from the remote ~ isn't science wonderful? The power lines, as usual, just added another possible problem. They really couldn't have put it in a more complicated position. At least you didn't have high speed trains passing every five minutes.😀 Great to watch, Thanks for taking us along. Cheers for now, Dougie.

We had a 35k forklift that had the two steer tires off between the tracks. We couldn't get a tow truck in to it. Luckily the railroad came with the Engine and was able to push it back up. They pushed the Engines connector against the counterweight. They were such a big help. The only other option was a crane boomed over the building. Great work as usual and great video. God bless

You get to rescue the difficult forklift with rams and hydraulic lines on the roof. What a silly design. I've done numerous forklift rescues but never one like that. I used to work at a place where they ended up in the creek once a week. I used an a rough terrain forklift with hooks welded to the mast at the top. You can lift them out using the tilt hydraulics of the mast.
