Hey Hey guys - I do love your presentations and I totally agree with your points as a forklift training specialist I too see the way many people take this subject so lightly, it never ceases to amaze me that so many people seem to see forklifts as a kind of toy or gokart

Around fork lifts I like to use what I call the bucket rule. When I'm driving I assume everybody else has a bucket on their head and can't see me and I drive accordingly. When I'm walking and someone else is driving I assume they have a bucket on their head and can't see me and I walk accordingly.

@colliecandle wearing Hi-Vis is common sense when working around forklifts. I myself am a forklift driver and have a few times now come close to colliding with people who were not wearing the required Hi-Vis clothing.

im 24 years old. ive been using a 10 ton forklift since i was 16. 8 years. For 8 years, Ive never had an accident. because there are no products in our company that weigh more then 7-8 tons, so the load is always lighter then the forklift = steady. as @colliecandle sais, COMMON SENSE. And no, i never had a license.

@zonkozonko most forklifts dont even have a closed cabin. Just making closed cabins standard would safe those lifes already. Airbags are meant for speeds over 50km/h.
