A clarification, the official language is Spanish spoken by all of them. Formentera del Segura is in the Comunidad Valenciana but is a Spanish-speaking area. Maybe you find someone who can speak valencian but is not the rule here. The government is trying to impose the Valencian because we are not a Valencian speaking area. So locals don't speak valencian that's why you can find a poster claiming that we want to learn in Spanish (13:48 "queremos aprender en la lengua de Miguel", you'll see) in some houses. Formentera del Segura is a peaceful and beautiful place to visit or to stay, we don't have big shops but we got the simplicity of tranquility and really good food, places to walk, the river, and a lot of orchards and, of course, sun. Also we speak spanish and barely Valencian, we are most likely to speak english so If you don't speak valencian is absolutely not a problem because we, spaniards, don't know either 😂 In Formentera there are Spaniards, moors and a colony of people from the United Kingdom (retirees and families) They like to go to the restaurants and playing in the bar with their friends also walk in the river and go to the beach and pool. So yes, it's a nice place but we don't speak valencian that's government propaganda, we also have a lot of activities outdoor, shows, markets, traditional things... also for kids my favorite one is the foam day.

Hi ,greetings from Elche,i,m a spanish guy,congratulations for your video ! And sorry for my horryble english jejeje.I would like to make a clarification about the people language,they don,t speak catalán,they speak valenciano it is absslutely different although they are similar sometimes.On the other hand i would like to ask you about the relathionship betwen foreign people,spanish people and the resto of the comunity,what about your? There is an intense convivence? There is interchange of cultures? Thank you so much for your time and thank so much to choose a litlle village of Alicante to live ,BEST regards 😉
