Army was shocked by this the first song off his solo album Jack in the Box. It is definitely a different side of him. Jhope was nervous too because he knew this was a step in a totally different direction than he had put out before. The two sides were perfectly presented at Lollapalooza. You really need to watch it. So interesting to break this one down. There is a lot going on in it. Did you hear that V makes a cameo in the "frozen" office scene? Jhope is definitely a fashionista and is the global ambassador for Louis Vuitton!

This is all j-hope! He literally and figuratively jumped out of the box and showed how capable and multi talented he is. He makes his own music. He did his album alone without collaboration. People already suggested for you to watch j-hope in the box documentary you will see he is the one who made it with help from clams casino and producers who understood what he wanted but he wrote the lyrics, he is the record engineer, rap and vocal arranger. Please do not believe what his jealous haters will say. This is his own talent.

The JITB album is a conceptual masterpiece that has been very well received by the world's music critics, the Grammys named J-Hope Artist of the Month at the time of the album's creation along with Lizzie and Beyoncé, and Rolling Stone magazine listed the album as one of the top ten albums of 2022. J-Hope he is one of the most unique artists in k-pop, he has contributed to several iconic BTS songs (he has a very good sense of good melodies), his lyrics are full of multi-layered Korean meanings and are full of literary references. He is also a stage monster. It is said that many people who attend a BTS concert leave as the new biased J-Hope.

Can you expound what you mean by "learning from SUGA and RM"? He has since said with confidence that his musical roots are the 1980s and ’90s hip hop that he grew up dancing to" :)

@@dotoheevillager Our sweet, gentle, humble Hobi has always given credit where credit is due. He has always said he learned from Suga and RM. You can watch Suchwita episode 12 (Jin was guest, Hobi stopped by), if you'd like, you can go directly to 25.47 (time stamp). The conversation went: Suga: What I find so fascinating about BTS is that none of us had ever sang before...but we got together and formed a team. That's how we started off J-Hope: Yeah, that's so true Suga: The vocal line started off with people who never sang or performed on stage before J-Hope: Right, right. It's the same for me Suga: You rapped J-Hope: I learned that from you and Namjoon after I got in Suga: You learned from the two of us J-Hope: Right Of course, while J-Hope "learned" from Suga and RM, that was just at the start and he did not copy their style. He developed his own style. And for sure, his dance background influenced his flow, his cadence, his delivery, etc. And when the rapline perform together, you can really distinguish one from the other. They are so different from each other 💜

Jhope is so diverse. And he definitely has a unique duality. And I think he likes to suprise us. His writing is quite often some of the hardest among the entire group to figure out what his exact meaning is, with in his lyrics, etc... At least that is my personal opinion, and I know I am not alone in thinking this way. Trust me it can be frustrating. He has such a creative side when it comes to story telling, metaphors, etc.... His writing abilities, in so many ways, are something I'm not sure I have ever seen before. With his writing he will make you have to stop to figure out even just the context that surrounds what he is saying, or you may not have any idea what the real meaning is. It is rather hard to explain. But jhope will not only make you have to look deeper to figure out the true meaning, but he also often leads you to contemplating many different ideas, beliefs, reality or lack there of, even after you have figured out the meaning behind the words. And than , again even after you have figured the meaning out, that in itself will sometimes provoke you to explore even deeper thoughts, and feelings, because of the profoundness of what he has said. And honestly, sometimes I simply just have to take a guess and hope I am close. I hope I am explaining this correctly. I'm finding it hard at this moment, to come up with the right words to best explain some of this. But anyways I'm sure you will discover lot of this types of things on your own. So just hope you are enjoying your journey.
