Suga produced "Eight" for IU that is a cool song also they collab in "People pt.2". IU has also singed live with J hope in "Equal Sign" and with V in "Ending Scene".

And for People pt. 2 jungkook was the first choice but they needed a female voice and so IU sang for the song. The song didn't need pop singer but ballad singer. As for equal sign and ending scene, Tae and Hobi were guests, she just sings with them. That's almost like a cover.

Something about Tae being the more vulnerable one with IU leading and trying to protect him is just so poignant. I’ve read that he has burn marks on his face which could mean that he’s had an experience with the cube before. This song makes me so emotional. IU’s beautiful crystal clear voice is stunning.

IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... The director for the MV was Director Um Tae-hwa, South Korean film director and screenwriter known for his award winning film, Concrete Utopia. IU also a well known South Korean Actress. V also had a part in a the 2016 Drama - Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.

Guess what? IU was so sick when recording this song. In the Behind the Scenes she explains she rescheduled 3 times. Here is the Behind the Scenes of her recording the song. She knows herself so well she knew she could push through her illness and record it. I honestly don't know how she did it. Note. IU became a trainee in 2007. In 2008 at age 15, she began performing. There's a running joke between Army and V as to why he always has to die at the end of his dramatic/romantic roles and videos and also in the one movie he starred in. So, when V made the MV "FRI(ENDS)", he decided to play with Armys even more by not only dying in the MV, but dying TWICE. I think that's why he winked and smirked at the end of that video. LOL 😂😂😂 That was V's way of saying: Hahaha!! Gotcha, ARMY!! LOL 😂

IU is amazing singer and actor. She filmed the MV on her first day of the flu and recorded the track while recovering from a cold/flu, still coughing and wasn’t on her top condition. Still, she gave her best performances. Other than BTS, I love her as a person and her professionalism.

FYI - the pile of clothing, and set, is inspired by an art piece by Christian Boltanki from about 15 years ago that he did in Paris' Grand Palais including the dropping of the clothing. BTS and others have also used his art instillation in the abandon building as inspiration to show a metaphor of lack of humanity.

IU is a friend of BTS for many years. Suga even produced one of her songs and she featured in one of Suga's songs in his last album. Her world tour will begin in Seoul next March 2 and it will ends on the 2nd Agust in Los Angeles. She is a mega star in Korea and in Asia for 16 years. I don’t think she’s been friends with BTS as long as you might think. Remember when JK had such a crush on her but was so shy he practically fell apart every time he saw her. The boys were not friends with her back in those days (2017 - 2019). I think when she did Eight with Suga he was the first member to work and get to know her. Remember she had to ask Suga for RM’s phone number lol. The members except JK ironically and maybe Jin are now friends with her because they did IU’s Palette this last year.

@@dangchauanh still to me that’s not a long time like you made it sound. I’ll double check but they didn’t even acknowledge each other at MAMA those years. Even though she sat in the row right in front of them in the Spring Day era. So of course I also know the history between IU and the members. If she only knew Suga out of all of the members I don’t consider her a friend of BTS for many years. I’ll go back and check so we both know they’re history but I really do not consider her having been friends with all the members for many years. That’s just my perception of it based on all the members and IU. It’s just like Ailee has been friends with RM since they hosted KCON together many years ago but she’s not friends with BTS (all members). Of course it doesn’t really matter much right now to me enough to do any research. I’m planning a wedding for my daughter right now so I’m very busy and feeling sry happy and positive. So I’ll just think what I think and we can be civilized and just agree to disagree. Take care

I absolutely love this song. I get a knot in my throat and cry every time I hear it. IU has such a beautiful voice. Pure tone for sure. What is it about strings in a song?!?! I absolutely love strings in a song. It’s ethereal to my ears always. I would recommend listening to Love Poem, Ending Scene, and Eight (produced by Suga). Eight was their first collaboration together and holds a special meaning for IU in regards to the loss of a beautiful friend that she and Suga both knew. You can also find her collabing with Suga on his solo album. She is truly amazing.
