The fact that the other elders, including the CO, might themselves be doing the same thing only further reinforces the sense of guilt and feelings of unworthiness common amongst JWs. But they know that should they make the same mistake as brother Johnson and be honest they will receive the same treatment.

As an MS in a ultra small congregation, I got insight to these situations, and rules were always given sway over love/compassion/Jehova. And in my judicial committee when my (non-intercourse) sexual activity with a sister was discovered (after over 3 years), within all questions about exactly what was done and how "severe" the action was, not once was one's relationship to Jehova brought up.

Whatever your personal veiwpoint on pornography, there is definitely a huge difference between porn that features sexual relations featuring adult consenting men and women and porn that depicts or literally shows CSA . So irregardless of any of the other issues, the distinction of what kind of porn is veiwed is definitely a valid point.

Alright, the lack of respect for Brother Johnson's wife is just ridiculous! They never recommend that he be honest with his wife, honesty is never the main concern. Its never mentioned that maybe HE should take into account that HE should have gone to his wife first! And that HE should be taking into account that his wife is going through a more difficult time of life possibly, as he mentioned that she is basically going through menopause. So why was it not mentioned to make an extra effort to be loving and take her out to dinner and do some things she enjoys, give her some extra attention and maybe a romantic evening may follow. It might not, but either way, putting someone else's needs before your own often helps you not focus on yourself. And finally, lets be adults... Why not see if she wants to watch the 'adult entertainment' with him? 🤨 She DID marry him and they might have mutual interests. 😉😂💗 And in the end, why is it ANY OF THESE MEN business what is going on in this other mans sexual life??? After decades I can recently see some cracks, so I’m educating myself, not in doctrine, but in how to encourage more skepticism and reflection. The many changes are getting to her. She’s not born in, and we shared a whole other life before she got sucked in. Your show is in the top two or three of the ones that I think she would be receptive towards. Thank you for what you do. I know it's difficult to be patient when someone you care about is stuck inside, mentally or emotionally. But just hang in there! The tiniest of cracks can collapse a tower over time. My personal recommendation is to just keep loving her & praying for her eyes to be opened. There's a reason why the acting is so stiff and wooden, atrocious really, in these training videos. Even by JW standards 😮. Because of the nature of the material, the actors can only be persons who are/were COs or senior Bethelites in the Service department who deal with and review CO reports. So the pool of available and willing actors is small. That's why you see the same actors in different roles in this training series. Also they don't use the coaching that is now available to the AV department uses for some of their productions because that would involve sisters and others that are not privy to the subject being discussed.

To be fair, so is the elder that brought it to the C.O. in the first place. And in our video from a couple of weeks ago, (kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6vce6Ked92GZrMsi=QcSRW4lgUvTcl9MC) the C.O. is black while the brother being counseled/scolded/punished is white.
