This isn't actually a case of former enemy countries reconciling, becoming friends and playing each others national anthems but this is a case of one's leader visiting the others country on either a meeting or something and that country playing the enemy's national anthem as a way of showing that even though they hate each other, they still have a mutual respect and admiration for each other

This is true but I would argue having Thames displays also serves as a symbol of diplomacy and a willingness to negotiate and potentially alleviate tensions. It’s a sign of hope and a message that peace can prevail. It’s shows a willingness to cooperate and diplomatic health or at least attempts to project that image

Sneak peek of our French Anthem "La Marseillaise" in English version + meaning written by Claude Joseph Rouget de Lisle during the French Revolution (1789-1794). First dedicated to the Army of Rhine when France was in War against Austria then later on became the French National Anthem. Arise children of the Fatherland The Day of Glory has arrived Against us Tyranny's Bloody Banner is raised The Bloody Banner is raised Do you hear in the countryside The Roar of those ferocious soldiers They're coming right into your arms To cut the throats of your sons and your wives ARMS CITIZENS ! FORM YOUR BATALLIONS ! LET'S MARCH ! LET'S MARCH ! AN IMPURE BLOOD ! (people's blood, us) WATER OUR FIELDS ! Fun fact. 4:22 The Soviet Band was probably quite experienced in playing the French Anthem. It was one of the key ''Revolutionary Songs'' that were taught at most musical schools in Russia at that time. In fact, Marseillaise was also the Anthem of Soviet Russia in the first months after the October Revolution. It was replaced in 1918 by the Internationale and in 1944 by the modern Soviet Anthem we all know and love (some people hate it, but this is temporary, lol)

I have a lot of respect for bands that play the Star-Spangled Banner. Not just because it's my home's national anthem, but because it is a funky, weird song to play. With all the flats and sharps, and jumping about notes, it's tough.

The Soviet/Russian anthem is a really kickass song. Definitely my favorite national anthem, and there are some good ones! China did the best job of it in this video IMO, they didn’t try to speed it up like the others.
