I'm not an American, I'm a Canadian, but President Carter and his wife Rosalyn were not strangers to this country, or to my city, Winnipeg in particular. They traveled here several times over the last couple of decades to help in building homes with Habitat For Humanity. They were both outgoing, friendly and obliging. In fact, they were the embodiment of Southern charm. My deepest condolences to President Carter, his family and to America. RIP Rosalyn 🙏

Yes, we certainly could use some of her class and humanity nowadays. Sheer greed seems to be consuming the US, but the Carters will always remain shining examples of what charitable greatness we are still capable of if we only learned to listen to our better selves with greater consistency. Mrs. Carter leaves a tremendous void in our nation's collective sense of moral purpose.

She was hard working, humble, driven, supportive, took up causes, did a lot of good in the world, and made me proud to be an American. After they left office, it was never the same. She was always thinking of others before herself. I think she was the most beautiful lady inside and out. Their marriage was truly blessed. Now she will go up to meet God face to face and he will say “Well done my faithful servant!” 😊💙

We've lost someone special! She lived an admirable, and generous life and chose her husband well. She did the "best she could" and more. She will be missed.

We lost a great former first lady today, a Humanitarian and a very intelligent woman. May she rest in heavenly peace. My deepest sympathies to her husband and their children and all the friends . Georgians should feel proud to have had the Carter's in the presidential office, and their legacy lives on in all their acts of kindness.

Greetings from London. With condolences to the former President for your loss - I was a young man at the time but I'm aware that the first lady plays a serious role in the US and she was a shining example of love, compassion, a dedication to her role and love to her husband that is an example for us all.
