I think the reason Sam’s character was so important to us as children was that she was very relatable. She was the kind of kid that adults would often look down on. She didn’t get good grades, she ate a lot on the show because her family couldn’t provide food for her, and she got into trouble because she didn’t have her mom teaching her vital things that a child should learn. I really think that’s why kids looked up to her and not “shouting about fried chicken” I’m not discrediting Jennette at all and I understand why she feels embarrassed by this. I wish though that she would consider this aspect because maybe it would make her feel slightly better about those bad experiences she had. I understand how the first comment came off as hateful. I just do not like to see people act like they have it all together when I know they don’t and it’s even more annoying when someone acts as though they’re a god amongst mere mortals. But honestly, after some thought and a talk with a friend, I realize now that even that could a be coping mechanism for some people. We all process and react to trauma differently, after all. She and I are the same age, so I should be more understanding of where she’s at in life right now. At the height of her career, been killing it in the industry for years, and she’s had quite a bit of trauma in between. I should show more empathy. It’s hard to navigate through life in your 20s while processing trauma stemming from childhood and the curveballs life throws at you.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dan Schneider is an absolute disgusting creep. If you heard half of the stories I did about him just by doing a little bit of research. You would not want your kids to be within 20 feet of him. This is really hard for me to say because I loved iCarly I loved Sam & Cat I loved Victorious those were the shows I watched in my teen years they were big part of who I am. And I'm probably going to keep watching them out of nostalgia. But this is what I say to any young actor out there who is just getting their start. Please please if you're going to take a roll on any movie or TV show. Please do some research about the director I thought people you going to be working with anything. And if you see any red flags don't do the show or don't do the movie it's not worth it I tried to become an actor when I was 18 I'm 26 now about to be 27 and I'm glad that I didn't. When iCarly dropped on Netflix, I watched some of it and noticed a bunch of times where the characters mention how “hot” Carly is (which is gross in and of itself bc that’s adults writing about a minor) and it made me sad to think of how teenaged Jennette must have felt about being labeled as the “other” girl in front of such a big audience like that. She’s playing a character but when you’re a teenager that kind of thing hits differently. And hearing her talk about her experience puts into perspective how miserable this all was for her. Being a teenager can be hard enough because you already have such little control over what happens to you, and then to have millions of eyes on you at all times along with the pressure of being in a position where you are providing for your family... That warps a child’s mind.

I wonder if no one realizes NDAs do not include illegal activities. I feel that's where a lot of the fear comes from

Imagine influencing 10000 young girls how skinny they should look whilst playing a girl that is eating 24/7. Imagine the f ing pain to struggle with your ed, but on camera you play an aggressive, food obsessed girl with mommy issues whilst her own mom is sick and dying. Oh and not to forget that your producer is Dan f ing Schneider.

I'm actually tearing up hearing Jennette speak about her experience on Nickelodeon, the way she was treated was so terrible. To know that she hated her roles just breaks my heart, especially knowing that she was forced into this profession as a kid. I really hope she gets more acting roles in the future, she deserves to be taken more seriously!

I see some of these child actors going into writing and directing, and that's a good thing. Hollywood need to be under New Management seriously

I love your family friendly video. I am grateful that you don’t cuss, speak bad about people, and try to keep a balanced view on everything. It’s a rare thing to see these days. Everything is always about drama and more drama. But you are different and I love that. Please keep doing them. Don’t change your contents.

I always knew something was wrong and off with these shows like they were funny and all and drake and josh was my Ultimate favorite out of all of them but I noticed that there was a lot of feet scenes shown in half of the shows and it weirded me out! And also a lot of other low key creepy scenes.. and I mean that’s horrible asf how Dan made children in the auditions take off their shoes and no one, not even the parents even said anything about it! I notice many of the parents who put their children on these shows and in the industry of Hollywood care more about the money than their child’s well being!! Amanda bynes is a perfect example of that!
