Gibby was the fan favorite on the nickelodeon TV show iCarly. Whenever he was on set, something wacky or ridiculous would happen. However, he would make it a mission of his to escape the Young Actor curse that so many of his peers dealt with

ICarly has such creepy history of the actors involved being severely damaged children from trauma and exploitation. We all like to think times were better and more innocent when we were growing up. Truth is, we just were too young and not forced into an adult world to know things have always been devious. Our childhood nostalgia is their nightmare and that’s a sad thing to think about.

I actually saw Noah at Disneyland back in 2014 for my high school grad night. We were in California adventure and he was literally 5 steps ahead of my friends and I as we were walking to ride Tower of Terror. I didn’t realize it was him until these girls started screaming GIBBY! And then my friend pointed him out to me. As soon as he heard the girls he put his hoodie over his head then walked away then knelt down pretending to tie his shoe. He realized it was too late as more people started to call out to him so he decided to dip away through the crowds. Poor guy clearly just wanted to ride Tower of Terror and enjoy his time at the event with his friends. I could tell he didn’t want anyone to notice him. I probably would have been in line right behind him and rode with him had he not been heckled. Hearing his story I can totally reflect on this encounter and see how he hated being associated with Gibby publicly.

@StumbIingforward

@@Asc-yc5me Probably just that being famous isn’t at all as it’s cracked up to be. Especially for a kid just trying to live their lives. Sure, that’s as first world problems as you can get, but it doesn’t change the fact that it isn’t easy on some people. And can bring some serious issues into their life. The idea of “celebrity” shouldn’t exist anyways. People pretend to be a character in front of a camera, or write a little song. That’s it. It doesn’t actually go any further than that. But there’s this strange idea of putting people in the entertainment industry on high pedestals for no actual reason. It’s absurd.

gibby made me feel comfortable being myself. He was unpredictable & crazy, but all the other characters just accepted him & went along w/ the craziness. I felt like if people can love a character as wacky as gibby, people can love me for me. still respect noah wanting to move on tho. It's his life & he should be able to live it the way he chooses, hes more than earned that I think.

Gibby’s dad was one of my football coaches freshman year of highschool, and he didn’t keep it a secret. As season was ending, he attempted to motivate us by saying “hey if we nail this upcoming (fill in the blank), maybe we all go get dinner with Gibby.” Sure enough season ended, we did well, and coach brought Gibby to get BBQ with our D-Line for the end of season dinner. Gibby was a nice guy but he seemed exasperated at the circumstances, and I felt it was odd that his father treated his sons notoriety and presence at functions as a commodity that could be bargained with. Hope he is doing well.

I've watch alot of shows, movies, animations, and etc etc after graduation. One thing I learn is that the performance a actor/actress perfome a character so well that made their hit. Really make their history on past performance a very appreciative to learn about, like for example I learn that the actor who played leonidse from the movie 300 also played in the second movie tomp raider with Angelina. One thing I also love the most is seeing them where they reach, in this case it amazing to see the actor who played Gibby reach some where in fufillmeant, while I personally was never fawn of Icarly. I can always say that it is a much better and happy moment to see actors, and actress be somewhere else then to be remeber for one moment in their career instead of their future.

Thank youuuu for making a video on this. My dad does radio and got the opportunity to interview Gibby a few years ago. He discussed the whole nickelodeon controversies that happened over the years he was there, and how he was doing now that he was finished with acting. Considering the trauma that most of these Nickelodeon and Disney child actors are coming forward with, Noah, in my opinion, dodged multiple bullets. Even as a teenager I got a little concerned of how Noah was being suddenly used and discarded by the show so quickly episode by episode. I rather Noah establish himself away from the iCarly machine so his identity, talents, and interests are able to shine without the idiocy of Dan Schnieder.
