There's something about Miranda. First of all, very professional and takes her job seriously. But when these moments with Dan are happening she seems to be extremely level-headed. She's too smart for Dan. Maybe also as it's been said Dan didn't go for the lead characters, but Miranda's aura says to me that she knows how to say no and/or her parents taught her how to deal with these scenarios. If I were her parent I would be very very proud of her.

I think Jeanette probably opened up to dan about everything that had happened at home and in her past. its soo easy for a grown man to take advantage just by saying what anyone would want to hear "I'm here for you, you can trust me with anything and i will help you i will be there for you and you can tell me anything, i don't want you to go through this on your own" he could have easily said something like this and Jeannette having struggled so much would have trusted him and then he used it against her... I think Miranda did great being always more serious and less engaging you can tell she wasn't having any of it.. and if he were to try to do something to her, she would have definitely told her parents and nick, and he knew that... I'm sure he tried to see how far he could go to get away with things but also miranda's parents seem to be involved also

I mean, i truly feel like young kids should not be on the internet anyways, but good lord. Those children's feet are on the internet permanently now. It is just so wierd. Just a creepy thing to post and to ask your fans, kids or not, to do on the interwebs. I mean, there are overwhelming amounts of foot related humor on any given nick show, but having the cast suck their own toes/feet or having another cast member suck on another cast members toes/feet is where i draw the line. Like it is wierd. Like why would you have a bunch of kids and other fans of the show post pics of their feet all over the internet. It just does not seem right. Then he randomly scares people as well. Just so offputting on set. I mean, my self esteem, mental emotional strength, and anxiety are bad enough as it is. Last thing i need is my boss purposely scaring me with no real context thinking it is no big deal. I feel like you have to access the situation as well. I mean, i generally do not get offended by stuff. As long as i can tell you are joking. But this just comes off as malicious to me. Just randomly scaring people. Like i would forget my lines based on that alone, because i would be shaking so hard. It just seems like he talks down to them, rather than jokingly scaring them and jokingly talking up and down to them. Like i call my friends dumbasses all the time. But i know them really well, and that they can take a joke. But not to someone i randomly met, or who i do not really know that well. I doubt dan here had personal family friendly relationships enough to be like this to his crew. It is just strange to say the least. Someone i work with asked me if i liked horror films, and i replied no. I just do not like being scared. I worked with a manager at a job i had, where he would crack jokes, or scare me, but i could tell he was cool. Like he wasn't malicious. One of my bosses, i swear to god i thought he was a serial killer or something, but no one got good vibes about him, and we ended up getting punished for it in the long run. Took a whole year to get him fired. I mean, i get casual contact as well. But this dan guy here has no personal space or boundaries. I remember being a kid and relatives would do the claw thing from liar liar movie. Oh no, the claw is coming at you. But i definitely sensed the security. It just feels like dan does everything out of spite of his insecurities. Like it just does not come off right to me. I am one of those people who just isn't a cuddle bug either. I like to have my clothes on. I don't like being around other people half the time. Because you just never know people anymore in this day in age. You never know who is going to take things to personally. Like you could say hello to someone after being invited, and they report you to the police. Like all i said was hello lol. And you never know who is who. Everyone seems to take advantage of someone. Or go out of their way to make them look bad. Like with all that drama going on, i will just stay home thanks. Cannot help saying hello to someone if they say hello to me, or start a convo with me, but i am terrible at carrying convos with people. Especially if i do not know what we are talking about.

I always thought the tummy rub thing Spencer and Carly did was really weird. Like in that Yakima episode where their whole family does it. Super unnecessary, now that I’m older it just all feels so connected as to why it made me uncomfortable and seemed awkward.

First off, Dan seems extremely immature for being a grown ass man. Now look, everyone is a little weird, but why wouldn’t he try to keep that to a minimum at the workplace? Like why is he so unprofessional? Also, even when he’s speaking in a playful tone he sounds so demanding & authoritarian. It’s kinda scary. Throughout the work day he seems to have a LOT of time to just sit around & watch Miranda & Jeanette’s every move. And the fact that he has all this footage of them on his personal camera is definitely weird. If he’s ever investigated by police I can only imagine the type of stuff they’d find.

I’ve had a couple of jobs where my boss/supervisor crossed boundaries of what most normal and professional people would consider to be acceptable. When I complained to them or HR about their behavior it was met with vicious retaliation. And so they basically got away with it. I was also a full adult. I can imagine someone who is still young/a minor would be even more intimidated.
@qunt1003 жыл бұрын
I remember a boss i had that was super abusive. I had to deal with him for that whole year as well. He would yell for really dumb things that weren't worth yelling about. He was manipulative as well, and constantly went on power trips. There was nothing really i could do about it, even though i had complained about it to the GM. I was in a rough position, because i needed the insurance, and i was having a hard time finding a better one. I finnaly did recently, but yah. But yah, it was pretty rediculous. I dealt with abuse in my childhood as well, but i have a hard time talking just generally speaking to other people. It is so difficult for me. I just have no mental emotional strength. I am older, but i still like video games, and i do not enjoy adult situations. It is the noise that gets me. So i am more kid like, but very self aware. Very self conscious about how i am as well. I mean, people can love me or dislike me or whatever, but at a certain rate, i just do what i can for me. It sucks being in trouble, or getting yelled at for really dumb things. You just try your best to keep on going for a better future.

This video by itself made me wanna die inside. I feel so horrible that Jeanette had to endure this for years, already not wanting to act. Nevermind having to deal with Dan being around. Gross. Also I’m thinking about how Gibby was like shirtless half the time on iCarly…i wonder if he was ever uncomfortable doing it with Dan on set. Putting this into perspective realizing Dan was there while they record all these things we watched. Gives me anxiety thinking about it lowkey.

I think the ending of the call wasn’t lowkey cute but another sign for toxic behaviour. As soon as someone could be convinced that Dan is controlling and abusive, he says something nice and it lets the person question their perception. There’s a term for this kind of disgusting behavior, it’s sadistic personality disorder. It’s where a person receives pleasure from inflicting pain, suffering, and humiliation onto others. It also includes getting gratification from instilling fear onto others and making others uncomfortable. The person can still feel fulfilled whether the fear causes a reaction or not. They usually seek out those who are more vulnerable or submissive, that’s probably why he did it to kids, younger people, and employees. He most likely demonstrates this kind of behavior towards anyone in his life that he has power over as a form of “dominance”. He needs therapy and a lot of help to overcome this. Unfortunately, when dealing with a personality disorder, most people are unaware that they have it or are in denial like narcissists. Also, if they do know about their disorder, they are less likely to seek help unlike those with mental disorders. It’s all about him wanting to get help and change since it’s part of his personality, but it doesn’t affect his ability to function. Therefore, his chances of seeking help are slim.
@kaleshabastion23323 жыл бұрын
He's like that awkward kid at school who does stupid stunts to try get reactions from the popular kids. From my experience on sets when someone on set is acting up, it's easier to keep your head down and do your work if you want to go home anywhere near the time you're suppose to finish.
