It's truly said that Mr. Payne lost his life at such a young age due to violence and it's also sad that his college teammate Keith Appling is now in prison for murder. I watched them play in college and although I wasn't a Michigan State fan, I admired Mr. Payne for the affection he showed toward the young girl and I wanted nothing but the best for Appling since he was a fellow Detroiter.
