Once inside his home he should of call 911 and stay there. Now if the dude came threw his door he’d have a right to shoot . But going back out he deserves what he get. Kind like that white last year argue about the handicapped spot a man was parked in he tried to say stand your ground self defense and would of got away with it , if it wasn’t for the store camera. It clearly showed him yelling at the man wife and man come out pushes him away from his car, gun on the ground pulls his gun, the dude puts his hands up backing away and he still shoots him. That murder dude was no longer a threat. Same here dude no longer a threat once your in your house unless dude followed in and attacks. He went back out with intentions to shoot him so it murder.

I thought I heard in another report that his gf was there too. It's really late/early, your gf hanging w/ a bball player, they live near each other if he went to his house to retrieve the gun. It's just hard for me to believe anyone would feel so threatened by his size that he'd go and leave the house and return with a firearm and kill this man for any other reason, in front of his mother no less which is just insane. I'm probably wrong as I usually am on these things. But my guess is this guy felt inadequate because he suspected something going on, fought over a woman (young men, please don't, if they disrespect you enough to go elsewhere you dodged a bullet) and now he's in for one hell of a prison stay. I don't think they'll treat him too kindly.

Keeping this in perspective, Mr.Payne's life was taken, and the female was allegedly a victim of domestic violence, or was going to be, so instead of calling the police, they call up AP, or his girl to ask for help. Police departments know that domestic violence calls are among the most dangerous calls they respond to, especially if the parties are armed. AP ,according to friends, would give you the shirt off his back, has worked with terminally ill children and would answer a call to help, if he could. This guy that took his life cannot be remedied by the insane "stand your ground " law there, because premeditated murder is written all over this case. Thinking he saw a gun is not cutting it either, none were found on his person or in his vehicle, and being intimidated by someone's size is clearly not a self defense criteria. RIP, Mr Payne, you left a legacy of helping others.
