Coach Dantonio what a legend. There should be a statue of this man somewhere on campus he’s earned it.

Nothing against Izzo, but the new football building should have been named after him, buy it wasn't my money lol.

@@Satchmojones I think you make a really good point. I love coach Izzo so it didn’t make me mad at all when the building was named after him. I just think with him being the most winningest coach in MSU history there should be something honoring him.

I think the biggest problem they've run into was sourcing enough metal to properly craft the large round objects he carries around in his pants. I believe that's why NASA has recently been pulling samples from nearby asteroids. We need to find more metal than currently exists on planet earth to do the statue and man justice.

Could listen to Coach D speak for days. One of the best Coaches and overall person I've ever met. The intangibles matter. Thank you for everything Coach Dantonio! Jim and SpartanMag thank you for this. Go Green!

I really love Dantonio. Great guy...great sense of humor, his wife thinks he's funny and he owned Michigan and competed w OSU. Winningest coach in MSU history and State craped on him. Truth. MSU class of '88

Coach D did an excellent job overall. However, let's not forget he had an abysmal record towards the end and waited till January to resign. Sure looks like the late resignation had a lot to do with picking up another $1 million. Sad because he was already a multi-millionaire and he knew this would put MSU football in a terrible position in regards to finding a new coach. If you're gonna preach character you got to walk-the-walk.

Coach D was severely underpaid. Why not collect your final retainage bonus? His successor? It didn't work for him at 2.5X the salary.
@mhalliday8591 Жыл бұрын
@@leegrulke5383 Thanks for proving my point! He took the money and ran and left MSU with no coaching options. By the way you are severely mistaken about his compensation: "That extra payday means Dantonio's salary from MSU for 2020 will be roughly $8.7 million, which will place him second only to Alabama's Nick Saban ($9.1 million) and just ahead of Clemson's Dabo Swinney ($8.25 million) as of Wednesday."

"He sounded like a legit guy....I think he's legit". Sounds like Dantonio isn't 100% sold on Smith. First offer by Smith is some weak 3-star guy who OSU offered. Look for 2024 class to look like a MAC team roster.
@leegrulke5383 Жыл бұрын
Coach D's 2016 Class was his highest rated ever. It sxxt the bed. Both he and Smith have succeeded in the development of very capable players. Our 2013 team was positive of that. High character of players and staff really matters.

Dantone should have been fired, he left the program a mess and quit too late in the hiring season so we got stuck with Tucker. Why is he still around?

Ha. You must have MSU confused with Michigan. You can be Taylor Lewdone and punch out an OSU fan in a bar or Brendan Gibbons and play 4 more years after raping a female athlete without consequences.
