The tory-alligned autocrat supporting managers at the BBC refuse to allow any proper journalism. It has been leaning that way ever since the 80s. ( warning-global warming rant) A certain story about global warming causing an ice age ( which was 1 scientific paper out of thousands, the rest of which described a hothouse Earth ) was used by the BBC in the 80s to suggest that no real harm was coming our way. That subliminal excuse for ignorance, which science peers had basically put at the bottom of the pile of possibilities, was used to purposefully create public apathy towards global warming. Even though the BBC knew that the thousand other peer-reviewed papers describing the likelihood of hothouse earth ( which at the time Exxon and friends already knew was going to be the outcome of a business-as-usual model ) was clearly the real worry. But the apparently impartial BBC felt that the other literature, which basically explained our need to mitigate fossil fuel burning, deserved no representation.

Entry without leave is a breach of section 3(1)(a) and therefore constitutes illegal entry as defined by section 33(1) of the Immigration Act 1971 (as amended by the 1996 Asylum and Immigration Act). Under section 24 (B1) of the Immigration Act 1971, a person who a) requires leave to enter the United Kingdom and, b) knowingly enters the UK without such leave, commits an offence which is triable both ways.

@nigeh53262 ай бұрын
Wrong, SOME are renting out properties they bought under ‘right to buy’. Not all, I know many who live in their former council homes, the couple next door to me bought theirs recently and are spending a lot on making it their family home. I was going to buy my current home until the crash of 2008. Why did I want to buy my council home? Because of a heart attack 2 years before that could easily have led to another at any time. I wanted my wife and 2 young sons to have a guaranteed home if I did die. Then they could have carried on living there with no mortgage to pay or if they wished they could have sold it on and moved if they wanted. I disagreed with the right to buy in the eighties as I could see it leading to good council homes being bought cheaply by relatives of elderly people with a massive discount. Then when the elderly relative(s) died the home went to the relatives to sell on or rent out. It was also obvious homes in bad areas and poorly maintained ones wouldn’t sell leaving the councils with increasing bills for maintaining homes in poorer areas. The tories also stopped councils from using income from selling homes to build new ones and instead the money went to keeping council tax bills lower for the better off. We DO need new council homes to reduce the demand for homes. Some in the private sector are terrible landlords and screw over the benefits system too. That needs to end.
