Owned a '71 FJ55 "iron pig" for about 20 years but my pockets just weren't deep enough to trick it out...so I kept it mostly stock. The original in-line six w/ 3-speed on interstate was pure Armageddon as far as decibels in the cab and squirrely as could be. Still, I miss it. Maybe one day we will meet again. Nice Cruiser!

I’m reading TRUE BELIEVER now, and came across the main character’s first real experience in Mozambique and the details given had me feeling like I was really there, and I’ve never been to Africa. It was enough detail to make it feel real, enough missing for my mind to fill in details for me, and gripping enough for me to tell my wife how good it was. I’m hooked.

@@Valorius The only artificial diversity in the cast I'm aware of is the journalist character Katie. She was white in the book and asian on the show. I don't give a shit. Her ethnicity wasn't important to the character. Not like when the BBC had a black girl play Anne Bolyn. The cast photo of Reece's SEAL team was true to life, a bunch of white guys. Some of them were even really SEALs. I'm just glad they didn't throw a chick in there.

@@johnwightman7169 try some low dose Valium. Not crap of the street but from a medical professional although, they won't give it to you! So try other ways if your T gets as bad as mine sometimes then definitely try it. In the day time or just to get that sleep. Promethazine is an anti-histamine, that is the one prescription my doc gave me, to help sleep. You can also buy Promethazine over the counter which I thought would just be useless but I have been sleeping. As I'm sure you know, sleep is most vital for our brains and bodies to function properly! Very very important! What I'm trying to say is, if it takes you having to take a sleep aid because of T then do it. The meds greatly out way the complete horror and disallusionment you feel when your T is spiking and you've not had sleep in God knows how long. Very dangerous. So, definitely treat it with some sleep aid although not every night if possible! Hope this helps somebody!

I design camshafts for LS engines. Would you be interested in testing a camshaft for this application? I've spec'd tons of cams for ls swaps in Hilux's that are in the ME. Most of them have power adders and are pretty wild compared to this. That said I have a profile in mind that would work very well in your application and not degrade the OEM capability of the engine. I follow your channel quite often and it would be really cool to work with you.

Had a Range Rover Defender initially in Iraq......what a POS. Traded it for an up armored Land Cruiser. Even carrying the extra 4K armor package it was waaay better. These things are stupid good. Got home, bought a 1969 FJ 55, and spent way to much restoring it, but it's bullet proof now. Which is good, since my wife saw the receipts for fixing it up. I may have to live in it.🤑
