And he said unto them, Ye men of Israel, take heed to yourselves as touching these men, what ye are about to do. For before these days rose up Theudas, giving himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed, and came to nought. After this man rose up Judas of Galilee in the days of the enrolment, and drew away some of the people after him: he also perished; and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad. And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will be overthrown: but if it is of God, ye will not be able to overthrow them; lest haply ye be found even to be fighting against God. And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles unto them, they beat them and charged them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name. @@mtalk828Good point and yet there's teaching that a Soul can incarnate again. Teachings on a word labeled reincarnation. And Jesus alluded to a Soul incarnating again. What came to me during prayer and meditation one day was that all of Christianity was sending its members to eternal hell because of the Spiritual Laws of Sowing and Reaping, and As You Judge You Will Be Judged. Since Christianity teaches only Jesus was given the authority to be Judge, then any other person, in an authority position or not, who is saying any other person or group of persons are going to eternal hell, will be sending their own self to eternal hell. So is there one for all eternity? I'm not putting that christian curse on anyone. Instead I continue to pray as Jesus did from the Cross, Father forgive them (all of us) I don't think we know what we are doing. Since the Father never denied Jesus anything, everyone participating that day was forgiven because Jesus asked. Paul said the Cross was lacking so maybe it's about something other than what Christianity has taught. So if his death didn't save us from eternal hell, his message was about something else. His teachings have saved me from the sin of missing the mark of God's love towards others. If he had not been crucified, most likely I would never have heard of his teachings. But if he was crucified, it was the Father who did it and Jesus himself because he said he had power to stop it. But everyone was forgiven because Jesus asked. God stopped Abraham from killing his son which could have been a sign it wasn't necessary in the future. Still, no one has any authority to say anyone is going to spend eternity in hell. Except Jesus but none of us are Jesus. Btw, it took a Jewish person saying there's no one named Jesus to cause my brain to think about why I just always thought his name was Jesus. That's just a translation (which he does answer to.) So Google has info on the origins of the Jesus translation and I learned his Hebrew name is Yeshua and its English translation is Joshua. I thought names were important in salvation history but then I had the thought there was probably no Greek or Roman man going to worship a common looking, probably 5 foot 5 inches Jewish man named Yeshua. Hmmm.

* Many Christians believe there will be eternal damnation for non-Christians. - The Gospel of John and Revelation have the concept of non-Christians being tortured for eternity in the afterlife. The fear of that damnation keeps many in the Christian church. * It was just the opposite for me. ** Because Protestant fundamentalist Christianity has the majority of people in the world, who are not Christians, (after they died) in eternal torment, no matter how righteous were their lives; it makes God into a monster. - My Jewish step-father and all his Jewish ancestors as well as my mother (a Jewish convert) according to the New Testament writings attributed to John, are being tortured in the afterlife for all time. - That also means the Jewish victims of the Holocaust, who did not believe in the Nicene Creed Jesus, are burning in the afterlife for all time. * The Gospel of John and Revelation has God torturing billions. - Christianity is a nightmare. * By contrast, Judaism has a God which, while stern, is still compassionate. There is an afterlife for the soul for those who repent to God. But for those who don’t repent to God, (in the majority view) there is no eternal torture. - No nightmare.
@meltzerboy10 ай бұрын
Yes, at worst, the souls of truly evil people are destroyed but not tortured according to Judaism. Also, I do not think Catholicism preaches eternal damnation for non-Christians, nor do certain mainline Protestant denominations.
@bb111111610 ай бұрын
@@meltzerboy ; there are over 2 billion Christians in the world. Of course there are some Christians who do not believe that the souls of every observant Jew is going to burn in the afterlife for eternity. As you mentioned the Catholic Church recently has this belief. But the Catholics bring their own problems about the afterlife, involving the practice of indulgences which can involve payment to the Catholic church to help get souls out of Purgatory. So, discussing any Catholic doctrine in debates with Protestant fundamentalists on this channel, brings up their hostility about the Catholic Church. Back to the caller in the video about fundamentalist Protestants who believe in eternal damnation for non-Christians. Official online Protestant church belief statements usually express the concept of salvation only by believing in Jesus. In traditional Protestant churches Christian Universalism (universal salvation) is a minority view. Some Protestant ministers would describe it as heresy. One could go outside of Nicene Creed Protestant Christianity but that is beyond the scope of this Jewish channel. Again, it comes back to Protestant fundamentalism. There are multiple comments in online religious forums, including on this channel, which express the Christian eternal damnation doctrine for observant Jews. * What do the Hebrew Scriptures say? God is all powerful. God is merciful. God is the savior. Repent and ask God for forgiveness. Then for Jews follow the law for Jews and for Gentiles follow the law for Gentiles, also known as the Noahide laws. (Ezekiel 18:21-23, 1 Kings 8:47-50, Jonah 3:9-10)
@meltzerboy10 ай бұрын
@@menmustchangebeforekingdoms Yes, that is one of the major differences between Christianity and Judaism. In Judaism, the Savior is Gd the Father (there is no Gd the Son). The Hebrew Bible is replete with verses that call Gd the Savior. Gd the Son is a Christian invention despite the attempt by Christians to prove the Trinitarian Gd in the Hebrew Bible. The role of the Messiah, according to the Hebrew Bible, is quite different from being one's personal Savior. Apart from the view that the Messiah is not divine, Judaism believes that the Messiah has certain specific functions, including the ingathering of the Jewish exiles into Israel, the renewal of Torah study, the rebuilding of the Temple, the acknowledgement of the existence of Gd by the entire world, peace among the nations of the world, and so on. But the Messiah does not "save" in the Christian sense of the word. Neither does the Torah, by the way. Following the commandments of the Torah, as best one can, is a way of life on earth and has little connection with what happens in the afterlife, if there is one. Only Gd Himself knows what happens to us after death. No wonder Judaism, as a religion, did not catch on. It offers little in a self-centered way to humans compared to Christianity. But it does offer a way to relate to and love Gd and practice one's faith in one's everyday life by one's interactions with others.

I am going to go over some of the things I wrote before with additional information. * What do the Hebrew Scriptures say about salvation? God is all powerful. God is merciful. God is the savior. Repent and ask God for forgiveness. Then for Jews follow the law for Jews and for Gentiles follow the law for Gentiles, also known as the Noahide laws. (Ezekiel 18:21-23, 1 Kings 8:47-50, Jonah 3:9-10) * Paul began a new religion. The earliest New Testament writings were written by Paul who changed the human, historical Jesus, into a demi-god, based on Paul’s secret mystery which is not found in the Hebrew Scriptures. (Ephesians 3:4-5, Romans 16:25) Paul makes a claim that he knew more than all the prophets and all the writers of the Hebrew Scriptures. (Colossians 1:26) So, anyone who gets their understanding of God from the Torah and the Hebrew Scriptures is ignorant because Paul claims he knows more than all the Hebrew prophets. (2 Corinthians 3:14-15) Also, Paul who never met Jesus before the Crucifixion, declared that he was the greatest expert on Jesus. (Galatians 1:8-12) - Then Paul and his followers indoctrinated others in the Christian movement. The New Testament writers increasingly fell under the influence of Paul and his followers with Mark, the oldest Gospel having the least influence, and the writings attributed to John having the most influence. * Paul creating a new religion based on his secret mystery is why there are multiple verses in Mark, Matthew, Luke and Acts which are contradicted by Paul’s secret mystery religion where salvation only comes by believing in his god/man. * The historical Jesus was an observer of the Judaism of his time. - Jesus and a Pharisee agree on the greatest commandments. (Mark 12:28 & 34) (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Leviticus 19:18) - Jesus said that the Pharisees had the knowledge of the law and the people should do everything the Pharisees told them. (Matthew 23:2-3) - Luke 1:5-6 has Zechariah and his wife Elizabeth being righteous before God because they followed the law. (Ezekiel 18:21-23) * In Acts 21:20 the early disciples of Jesus in Jerusalem told Paul they followed the law; - Those in Jerusalem were the people who had lived with the historical Jesus or who knew those who lived with Jesus. Before Paul’s letters, that is what the Jesus community in Jerusalem were doing, they followed the law. Which also means that the historical Jesus followed the law. * Paul wanted his new religion to be based on the philosophy which ultimately was based on the pagan Plato that was popular among the pagan elite in the Roman Empire. Again, this idea of a god/man, demi-god Jesus from Paul has its root in the pagan philosophy of Plato. It is acknowledged by many Christian writers that Plato had a major impact on the New Testament and early church fathers. * Not only does the religion of the historical Jesus, Judaism, have little to do with Paul’s creation based on the pagan Plato, Paul repeatedly uses the technique of lying to promote his religion. (Philippians 1:18, Corinthians 9:20, Romans 3:7, Acts 21:20-21) * No human being (all of which are limited in ability and knowledge) can be God. - Numbers 23:19 *”19 God is not a man”* - Hosea 11:9 *”I am God and not a man.”* - Job 42:1-2 *“1. @hrvatskinoahid104810 ай бұрын
The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings.
@booksquid85610 ай бұрын
@@hrvatskinoahid1048 I don't consider the authenticity of Moses to be based on public revelation...irregardless of whether such a thing occurred. I consider the authenticity to be based on ongoing usage for communal identity and practice. Think about it. Do we as Americans hold the U.S. constitution to be INvalid because only certain men signed it without an entire nation viewing it? Or rather do we consider it to be fully valid because of how it symbolizes our identity as a nation to live in ongoing commitment to such a constitution? In the narrative about Moses, the idea of public revelation is to make it clear that the possibility exists for all the people to listen to, embrace, and commit to principles of government that bring peace and prosperity to a nation. Any public revelation, whether symbolic or otherwise, doesn't make Moses any more real or more valid. That's beside the point. And to return to our first discussion, there is no way of defining God unless we immediately wish to define something else entirely. A bit like Schrodinger's cat situation. But that doesn't mean a relationship to such a mystery is impossible. After all we are each an immense mystery to each other as humans, despite any title, name, or adjectives we might attach to each other. Thus any concept in our mind of god is a tool for us as humans to connect with a mystery beyond our grasp. And thus we all speak to an "imaginary friend.". Strangely enough, imaginary doesn't mean "less real."

@@hrvatskinoahid1048 People can follow a religion for thousands of years without seeing anything at all. The religion of Judaism isn't really a religion, despite its religious elements and despite those who observe it as if it were a regular religion. It is basically what we would call a civil religion...in the same way that certain symbols, traditions, holidays, laws, etc are essential to Americanism as a modern civil religion. Judaism is basically the ongoing renewal and practice of Israel's constitutional laws. The real motivation to maintain a nomadic nation and rebuild in a homeland comes from this fact. A regular religion doesn't need to be tethered to anything practical or consistent like that. It can remain in the ephemeral realm of spiritual fantasies and beliefs. But Judaism isn't like that. It is again a civil religion. I think that the constitutional principles of law that Jewish sages compiled after the Babylonian exile were so significant and unique in the context of so much of the world that it was clearly something priceless to hold on to. Obviously, no one alive today saw the spectacle described in Torah about Moses on a mountain, yet plenty of people maintain their commitment to the laws of Moses. And there was never a threat of hell mentioned anywhere in Torah for not believing that the story of fire on a mountain was literal or not. It is not a dogmatic treatise. Rather the constitution of Israel (Torah) remains the ongoing cornerstone and necessity for her existence. So THAT is why it is authentic and valid.

What you are saying is absolutely beautiful! I do believe God wants a relationship with us. He didn't send Emanuel or his begotten as an idol. He sent him as the living Torah! The oral Torah, the truth and the light. A guide. He brought the Torah alive. When Moses went up to Mt Sinia, he came down with the ten commandments. Did this form a relationship between God and his people? No, they built a golden calf and worshipped it. How about in Noah's day, when none were found righteous? Did God say, please 🙏 I love ❤️ you anyway I can get you? No, he destroyed the whole world, except one man, whom he found righteous, and his family was saved because of him. What about Sodom and Gomorrah? Did God continue to allow lawlessness? (Worshipping idols, the same thing) No, it was destroyed by fire. He sent his son to physically walk out the Torah, as an example. As the oral word of God!!!! The Torah is God, He is the living word. What else could God do??? We still do not listen, even with a living example of his word. The son didn't come to destroy God's word. He came to live it. But WE destroyed him physically. God is one, and His son is part of him, just as we are apart of him. We worship Him in spirit and in Truth (Christ, Word, and the way)! He will be back as the prince of peace and the Messiah! What is it that brings man and woman together? What is it that brings man and God together? TORAH ( I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE) Who said that? And Who sent Him? To live out the TORAH?

For My salvation is about to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. 2 Blessed is the one who does this, the son of man who takes hold of it, who keeps from profaning Shabbat, and keeps his hand from doing any evil. 3 Do not let a son of a foreigner who has joined himself to HaShem say, ‘HaShem will surely exclude me from His people.” Nor let the eunuch say, ‘Behold, I am a dry tree.’” 4 For thus says HaShem, “To the eunuchs who keep My Shabbatot, who choose what pleases Me, and hold fast My covenant: 5 I will give to them in My House and within My walls a memorial and a name better than sons and daughters. I will give them an everlasting name that will not be cut off. 6 Also the foreigners who join themselves to HaShem, to minister to Him, and to love the Name of HaShem, and to be His servants- all who keep from profaning Shabbat, and hold fast to My covenant- 7 these I will bring to My holy mountain, and let them rejoice in My House of Prayer. There is only one God; there is only one religion which has been revealed progressively throughout all human history (at least the last 300,000 years); and there is only one race and that is the human race. All founders of world religions come from the same Source which we call God. They are like different chapters of the same book--though each chapter is different yet they build on each other and together they reveal the grand plan of God for humanity. Founders of world religions can also be likened to different grades in school-- first grade, second grade, all the way to PhD, and so on. Each is different and yet all of them are unified for the sole purpose of educating the individuals. Founders of world religions are also like different branches of the same tree, each branch is differently shaped but yet they are part of the same tree. These religious divisions and conflicts which are merely created by man’s ignorance of the true religion will be effaced from the face of the earth and humanity will realize its fundamental unity.

Gee, if I believed in today's Traditional Christianity with the council of Nicea and the reformation from Martin Luther, John Calvin, and John Wycliffe as well, I'd be terrified too! See, Christianity plays off the FEAR and GUILT game because since the days of Catholocism the Priest did all the teaching, right? And it was all in Latin so if you didn't speak Latin, too bad for you. You had a total dependence on the Priest. Martin Luther had a problem with this and had the Bible Translated into German and told people to read the Bible themselves and come to a conclusion for themselves. Then, he began on the 5 Solas, that had its own problems because, while his intentions may have been good, they didn't line up with what the Bible actually teaches, Old Testament or New Testament, but the reformers that began Protestantism STILL used guilt and fear. If you saw anything contrary to what Martin Luther thought, you were tortured. Refuse it and you were killed. Protestantism has this same problem to this day, people aren't taught to think and reason for themselves. If you don't acknowledge the trinitarian God and confess Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, because the Pastor tells you too, you're gonna go to hell. We're also taught that the Bible is the end all be all because Christians take the final versus' of Revelation and say that's it! And if you add to the Bible then you're blaspheming and done for, except the Old Testament says something similar. We're discovering new texts all the time. Revelation is saying you don't add to the Book of Revelation or Johns prophecy. Look at the Dead Sea Scrolls, the Nag Hamati, etc. There's a lot out there. Evangelicals, in my opinion, are the worst with all of this. They have an argument with how the Bible is interpreted anyway and see people lost and confused, for starters because they don't know the nature of God, how God works and who He even is, because the Bible doesn't support the trinitarian view, Modalisctic or not, that's problem number 1, but Christianity is also a business, it's about filling up the collection plate for personal gain and teaching the Bible to what the people want because they left the other church was either to hard or to soft on them....... And that's why we have 46,000 different Christian denominations today. Expand that to how many different views of Judaism there is. Do you think there's only one set way of view for Judaism? Heck no! But there's one God, right? How about Islam? Do you think Islam gets along? Nope. Islam has different denominations within itself, but there's only Allah, one God, right? So, how do you reconcile that? Well, that's what James taught. We as human beings think God is beyond our knowledge and comprehension and our reach. We say Hes all powerful, but do we really believe that? All faiths teach faith in God, but then fear creeps in and doubt creeps in or the pressures of those around us, and fear disintegrates. We're all hypocrits and the like because we profess God as He is but then we don't trust him. Our texts teach us how God communicates with us. We always say that we see Him in our lives. We admit that He steps in and makes things happen that are unexplained, but then how do we feel when those things happen? How we feel in those moments is the Holy Spirit confirming that where those gifts come from is an act of God, a mercy of God. Galatians 5:22-23 gives a list of the fruits of the Spirit: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, etc. That helps us understand those good feelings, those things the devil cannot imitate. That gives us a foundation of what we're looking for. Then, go back to and pair that with James' writings: If any of ye lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth unto all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him. But, let him ask IN FATH, nothing wavering, for he that waverath is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. So, what does James mean in 1:5-6? He means that God is our literal father, who loves His children and wants to communicate with us. He's eager to hear us and respond to us and that if there's something we want to know, especially something as important as knowing Him, that we can ask Him and he'll give it to us freely and isn't biased or selective. But, we still have to exercise faith. We still have some leg work to do, we have to know He can and that He will and we have to be willing to accept the answer and roll on that, being perfectly obedient. He's not going to answer us if we're going to treat pearls like swine. If God's gonna tell us the right way to go, then we need to act on it. Is He going to give us this grand vision like Moses in Sanai? Well, maybe, if He wills it. Are we going to have a great dream that reveals it all? Maybe, it's happened numerous times. But, most of the time it comes as Galatians explains it. You'll have this feeling in your chest down to your stomach that's like a burning feeling and a gut wrenching feeling, but I'm a good way. It's that feeling that causes you to smile a smile you're trying to hold back. Does it come in that moment? It can and does, but sometimes God says wait. There's another event that needs to happen to communicate the answer to you now that you're open to receiving the answer and it'll support that. Often times in the quietest hours a thought pops into our minds. Someone people recognize this as the answer because it conflicts with what they really wanted to know, it's the opposite, but they know that's God answering them because they wouldnt have thought of that. As I ministered to people, we always taught that nobody should ever take our word for it. We've taught you some basic principles and teachings, they're not popular within the world but, they're foundational, but don't take our word for it, take it before God on your own in prayer, and ask Him. Show humility, approach Him humbly. Take a shower and clean yourself, wear clean cloths, take the shoes off of your feet, kneel down by your bed and cloths your eyes and now your head, and instead of reciting some pre-determined or written prayer, talk to your Heavenly Father as you would your own Father. Tell Him about your day, express to Him what makes you happy, express your concerns, and then ask Him. This is His work, it's His Plan and He wants to see it through. He won't allow the devil to communicate with you in how Galatians explains, because a corrupt tree cannot bring forth good fruit just as a good tree won't bring fourth evil fruit. I got this all the time from Pastors such as yourself. OH! THATS NOT GOD ANSWERING YOU, THATS THE DEVIL IMITATING GOD! But, they knew better and felt otherwise. They knew the source it was coming from and even though they were scared the world could reject them, they remembered verse 6, they were prepared to hear God and act on it with perfect obedience they wanted to know the answer that badly and have a communication with God, and it came because He's in perfect control. It didn't matter what we thought as teachers, it was what God wanted to tell them, it was not our will but His be done, and so many Christians are held captive from the truth out of fear, they're told they have to rely on the Pastor because he's supposedly the Bible expert, but that's contrary to what even Martin Luther tried to promote but then had people executed for actually thinking for themselves. That's my recommendation, actually think for ourselves, read and study things out. Be open to opportunities that present themselves to learn from others and to not take their word for it, but take it to God and ask him to reveal truth to us and God won't fail us. So, what if it's not right, then? Then you'll have no such feelings when you ask God. It will feel blank or your thoughts will trail. You'll feel empty if it's not right. But, I'll still strongly recommend, don't you dare approach God asking for an answer if you're not willing to act. Don't try to make him look like a fool or you'll look like a fool. Act on what He asks you to do and devote to it. Its all about putting faith in Him. It's that simple

Why did the Israelites need Moses as their intermediary. Why did the men in Deuteronomy 18 need a mediator, a prophet to be raised among them to speak to them. Why did anyone need prophets. Why did anyone need priests to make sacrifices, offerings or supplication in their behalves. Why couldn’t they simply do it themselves if it is as you say and anyone can come to God? Why were only certain ppl or tribes allowed in the holy place if God was and is so approachable? Why out of 1,000’s of people did God only talk to one person and one person alone. Why out of possibly billions of ppl were only 8 saved and the rest destroyed. Why did God stop speaking? Why did God stop miracles and wonders? Why did God stop being actively and obviously involved in world affairs? Why are there no more seers or prophets? I would argue that I am in an experience now that is undoubtedly supernatural however none of you folks from any faiths are truly helpful in any way whatsoever.

The sacrifice was a work of iniquity and those who don't understand that part are lost. You can't forgive sin by committing it. You can see the truth in it and pick up your cross and follow Christ in moral obedience to God. If Christ is a reason to be immoral and disobedient to God then you are a worker of iniquity. Nobody is perfect but anyone promoting license to sin is ignorant. See the moral obedience of Christ is his works not the lack of morals and lack of obedience. He chose to stay obedient to the commandments of God unto the death. That's the work of Jesus Christ not hanging himself out to dry. I hear a lot of people say, we don't have to pick up our cross we nailed him to it. It seems nobody knows God because they all violate him and claim holier than thou. What do I mean by holier than thou? Well Jews are Holier than Christians and Muslims ask them. Christians are Holier then Jews and Muslims ask them. Muslims are Holier than Jews or Christians ask them. They are all holier than all of Gods children who don't partake in their condemnation. It's funny I hear all these scriptures bash man, apparently all those authors didn't trust in the likeness they share with God. Yes, let the rebuking begin we will see who is rebuked. If you knew Christ you would know his truth come through his Father whos grace you stomp on with lies and deceit. It's about time the house of Abraham receives a circumcision of the heart. You might not like the truth but you will wear the spirit of truth proudly in the end friend. The main reason being righteousness doesn't exist without truth. You cannot accept the Fathers grace and deny his truth thats how you end up in damnation. Also you see how Jews deny the trinity of God but its written right into their scripture? Infact the trinity of God represents the tree of knowledge of good and evil and God is the tree of life. The trinity isn't meant to say God isn't one GOD IS ONE. But the trinity is of God and it's a way to comprehend the inner workings of God.
