Wait until a valuation is done on the motor then you can talk of 15 million. It's doesn't matter how much it was bought at but it's current value & a loan of 3million plus 4 year interest on loan the vehicle is gone.

@@Themrupdater254 , I am noot a lawyer but I'll try. First of all, it is Latin and means 'let him beware...' CAVEAT EMPTOR means 'buyer beware'. It is a formal notice or warning (usually in business transactions) given by one party preventing some action from being taken without prior notice. Now, I am not privy to Njroge and Meridian case and therefore ccannot comment on it but from the news clip, it seems like there was such a notice and as they claim, it was by the NTSA -if I heard that correctly- (and that there is no way it can be auctioned). I have no idea as to what transpired here. ONly Njoroge and Meridian (or their lawyers) can clarify. So, the caveat /formal notice/warning here seems to be that the car "CANNOT BE AUCTIONED -or perhaps even repossessed). I don't understand why. That is my layman's understanding. Any lawyers in the house. Let me go further, In a simple transaction, like buying a car, the buyer wants to buy a car from the vendor/seller, under the caveat emptor principle, he , buyer is responsible for acquiring all the necessary information before purchasing the said vehicle. Such information includes whether the car had ever been involved in an accident, the total mileage (kilometres travelled), any repairs carried out during the life of the vehicle e.t.c. It is upon the buyer to collect all that information. ONce he buys it, and then realises that he there is something amiss and that that issue was never disclosed by the seller, he cannot thereby sue him because of the caveat emptor principle or the BUYER BEWARE principle. It behooved him to have acquired all the info. before buying the said vehicle. Again, I am no lawyer. Any lawyers in the house?

You need to study time value of money, PVIF & FVIF plus interest on loan then you will understand why a property of 15M can be Auctioned for a loan of 3M or even less
