Very helpful. Often in the Catalan I get a nice position out of the opening, good central control, all the pieces to good squares, maybe +1 and change per the engine, and then it's like: "OK, now what?" You can't just end the game there

Well, he probably did not win because of the opening. He won because he won equal endgames casually

For sure, requires a lot of skill to win how he did. I think he was good at choosing openings that allowed him to win in such fashion, however.

What is wrong with the jobava London? It's a complete different opening than the London system

@@I_am_Itay At higher levels they are not considered so good, and this channel specializes in Catalan opening which is played at the highest levels, just a joke. Jobava London is perfectly playable, sure.

@@MartinZanichelli Jobava as a surprise weapon can work excellent when the opponent isn't prepared. I have beaten several GMs with it in about 25 moves

I feel like you are only putting those two openings in the same sentence because they have a similar name and look kinda similar in the first few moves. The London and Jobava really don't have anything to do with each other in terms of the types of positions they reach
