I can't even tell what happened at 51:15. Looked like Alex premoved RxP, but somehow the pawn magically survived and promoted. WTF? Is that one of them thar "Rook Proof" pawns?
@WikDgunner3 ай бұрын
I think what happened was that he was late with his rook. The pre-move to take was supposed to be with the knight. He pre moved so much he lost track of the pre move order. When he got there with rook the pawn was already there so since he pre moved his rook there he missed his chance to take with the knight.
@michaels42553 ай бұрын
@@WikDgunner I thought maybe he was trying to show off by letting black queen yet still deliver a mate with a rook and knight. Just a guess. All he had to do at one point was just block the black pawn with his knight, then cut off the king with his rook and proceed to force a simple textbook mate. If he wanted a simple win, then I don't know why he would bother chasing that pawn when an undefeatable blockade was just one move away. Why, Alex, why?

For blunders just do something called a blunder check: before every move check if that move puts ur king in danger. Then check if u are going to lose ur queen because of that. Then check if u are hanging a piece because of that move. Also, as far as I know about 1.d4 openings, piece maneuvering and pawn play is crucial (albeit my only experience playing 1.d4 is when I was a 700 elo - 900 elo player playing London system)
