She didn't want to go on the show? SHE BEGGED them to let her sing another song and begged them to let her go through. Watch the audition. So she had a bad experience - her and other contestants as well. You put yourself out there and you roll the dice. If she wants to make a difference, bring a lawsuit against the show TO RIGHT THE WRONGS she believes were done to contestants, herself, younger contestants, to ensure their parents/guardians have full disclosure and access to lawyers to review the contracts needed to appear on the show. These shows are never about making stars; these shows are for entertainment value. Many of the winners never become famous; more than not they don't get famous and their one shot ep or album disappears as they fade into the dust. She claims after being on the how in 2010 that she was sexually assaulted by a member of the show 5 years later. I'm not saying to disbelieve her, but how 5 years later was she still connected to the show?
@ameswho9548 Жыл бұрын
yes to everything you said. I hope she's a better lawyer than a singer. I personally didn't like her voice. Don't like her voice. Can't handle the heat? Stay away from the fire. Simple as that. They know what they signed up for. What did she expect? duh.

Yeah… according to Ms Waissel herself she started studying law in September 2021. Given that it takes three years to study for a PhD… How is it even possible that she could have become a professor already??? KGB News is a f*ckin’ joke… and you lot just lap up the lies from this channel, without questioning anything.

Yep, this is a girl desperate to be noticed and wants 'fame'. Unfortunately life doesn't always play the card hand that you want. I'll be the first to admit (and I am in the music industry) that Katie has a quirky contagious personality - without a doubt. However, the innocent early Madonna look had already been marketed to the hilt. She's a beautiful girl - that obviously thinks a lot about how things should be, but I really hope she can find happiness in what's she's currently pursuing. I wish you all the best Katie, and hope that you find your destination in life, without reflecting on the past too much. ❤

hhhaaaaa. Exactly what I said. Must be a genius.. I hope her lawyering is better than her voice. I wasn't the least bit impressed. They all know what they're signing up for so I don't feel for her at all. She wants to be famous and if she can't do it by singing.. then she'll do it by making an ass of herself.. doing a great job of it and I don't believe she was assaulted.. something is missing from that story. UGH.. gross.

I was never an X Factor fan per se. I watched it now and then and the treatment (seen by the viewers) of @KatieWaissel was abhorrent. I would have had to sue the channel. What stood out for me, was Ms Waissel's toughness, week after week. It felt like a public character assassination a bit like the Roman gladiator games for public entertainment/ viewer numbers. I'm so pleased for her now.

She has a master's in law from an obscure private (eg pay a fee and everyone gets in) law school. This does not make her a professor - which would require a Phd or Doctorate qualification. Maybe she lecturers or gives talks on law..but again..not a professor as this video title falsely suggests

Katie, I adore you and am in your corner. You’re so brave and have thrived in spite of everything you’ve faced. So I say this next part with love: Please please consider doing some more press and interview coaching. Your message is getting lost in your niceness and qualifier statements. It’s hard to follow and get sound bytes that can resonate with the public. Your story and work are important and need to be heard - especially by those who are completely unaware of what happened or are hesitant to hear it.
@_Normski Жыл бұрын
I agree. In scenarios like this it would just be eaiser to speak in "plain English" about what happened, so that the average viewer understands, as many would be none the wiser after watching this. Platforms like these are important to get the message across loud and clear.
