I feel like microbe really is one of the most underutilized animals in the game for how strong it is. Love to see some microbe action.

The problem it has is that it doesn't really provide any benefit unless you have a turtle or a summon build. Yea it somewhat levels the playing field but unless you have the stats to back that up its worthless.

I think the issue with the microbe is that its in the DLC arena where scaling and brute force is key. It barely makes a difference where getting full 50/50 teams is entirely possible within 10 turns. In fact in this video even with melon armor removed, many of the fights still ended in a draw. Meanwhile in the starter arena, special skills and food are much more common than getting an early 50/50.

I won on turn 21 once - had a level 3 sauropod on my squad. Also a level 2 T-rex (pre-nerf, so he was big). Everything was big (because turn 21, hello). Everything had 50 attack except the sauropod (and he was 46). Good times.

You should do the random challenge where all the pets ability a need to have a random effect like the bat or the blowfish getting random enemies but not things like the deer or hippo that always spawns the same thing or buffs the same amount every time

Why end turn with 3 gold so often?

The T-Rex, it's ability only scales IF you have 3+ gold at the end of a round. So essentially that last 3 gold is paying to use the T-rex's ability. Seems to me like it also stopped warning him about ending the round with excess gold, because in this rare case it's actually useful to do so.
