The thing is with Chuu is that she's such a genuine person that the song evoking a feeling of hope feels very real and appropriate. The cheesy lines work simply because, well, it's Chuu!

I always associate Chuu's voice with the word "sincerity". She has that ability to make people believe in what she's singing. It doesn't have to be high notes or crazy vocal skills but she knows exactly how to make us immersed into her songs

I think the fact that she didn't put on a cute accent to sing also helped the song to not feel cheesy at all. Chuu has a bright voice but it's also very mature and though she is a cutie patootie it still sounds very adult

I'm a newcomer for Chuu, reading about her fights post-Loona. Let me tell You this - Strawberry Rush gives a truly "I'm free" vibes, which causes the smile to appear on face, like it or not. It's a masterpiece. Simple as that. 😊

Chuu has pretty much said exactly that. Her re-debut songs "Underwater" and "Howl" reflected the struggles she went through during the fight with BlockBerry Creative, but since her re-debut and US tour were successful (and her legal fight with BlockBerry is over at last, with the South Korean Supreme Court declining BlockBerry's final appeal), she feels like a huge weight was lifted from her shoulders and she wanted to showcase the bright energy she is so known for.

Chuu is my favorite idol. Maybe even my favorite "celebrity" on earth. I'm so happy she's thriving. She makes us all smile, no matter what we're going through. I hope she makes tons of money and does everything she wants in life. She deserves it.

29:40. Could not agree more. ARTMS made me feel like I was experiencing Loona again for the first time, that debut exceeded my expectations, and then Chuu took it a step further. I couldn't place it til you mentioned it, but hope is exactly the feeling the song brings. It's absolutely amazing, and even after probably 100 listens, it still brings that tear to my eye. I live for songs like this.

I'm so stoked!!!! Literally all 12 girls love what they do so much they're all still giving their all under companies that so far seem to wholeheartedly support them, I couldn't be happier with this outcome after everything they went through the only thing better would be all 12 girls being able to do this under one label and still promote together

your reaction had me moved at the end ngl, that tear in MY eye wasn't figurative lmao. I loved Howl so so much but Chuu genuinely (and kindly) knocked me on my ass with Strawberry Rush. It just IS hope. It's like your imaginary childhood friend come alive, grabbing your hand and dragging you along for the ride. It dragged me to my kid self and told her everything would be fine. Heck, it told the me NOW that everything would be fine. Could rant on and on how much I adore this song. Definitely agree with that 13/10!!

28:09 - Just to make it clear for others… last time I remember JaeHyuk PD gave something 13/10 was Love Never Dies mini album by The New Six… And this dude had that mini album on replay 24/7/365… So giving Stawberry Rush the same score means truly a lot! I keep my words for the listening party, but I will just say this… In December 2023 I started to listen to the Howl mini album quite a lot. Half a year came by and that EP became my before falling asleep music on nearly every day basis!! So I was fvcking nervous to have my expectations TOO HIGH for this… And truly… Chuu Can Do It!! Strawberry Rush lived up to that hype!!

i think the hope, yearning, excitement of Strawberry Rush (and her solos overall) it reflects so much love bcs you can feel her loving the songs, the lyrics, the album, you feel her team also loving it and loving her mostly that you cannot help but feel it too when you listen to it

I remember that in howl, the video was showing chuu's journey in a very cinematic and dark way to show her going out in the world while still being scared and anxious but realising that she will never be alone. In strawberry rush I kinda feel like she found a way to enjoy the world and finding it like a game and she is trying to get us to go with her. I feel like the video is trying to tell us to follow her and have fun with her because there is nothing to be worried about because she will protect us. That's my opinion but i felt deeply moved by how the video was shot and how the song was produced. It made me feel like i can do anything

This comeback was sooo goooood. It makes me so happy to see that her team cares enough to produce such a good song, to make such a high quality MV, to put so much effort and creativity and LOVE into everything. The lyrics are perfect and remind me of Chuu's quote during all the legal trouble with BBC, when she said she would protect Loona, Orbits & everything she cares about. ❤

Every single one of Chuu's solo songs from the howl and SR albums, despite being different genres and atmospheres, gives me the feeling "this is Chuu's identity". She is so much more versatile than some people think, and her voice has a maturity to it...songs like Lucid Dream and Aliens, where we get to hear her deeper mix, and effortless chest voice just leave me in awe. Both of her albums are underrated, imo... orbit twitter in general thinks theyre a bit boring, but I feel like every song was written for me, I just appreciate them all so much. Before Dall, Howl was my favourite post-loona release.

A small detail that lots of people might have missed: The sample (kind of an echo-y distorted synth rift at the beginning of Howl can be found again at the beginning of Strawberry rush, pitched up and sped up a bit)

I love Strawberry Rush so soo sooo much. I did not expect to love it this much at all. As from the title, I was thinking of it as a bubblegum pop vibe (I don't usually like/listen to songs in that genre) and I definitely did not expect to give me the same fucking deep emotional feel like Howl did. This song feels like pure hope and love that is so much needed in everyone's life. Such a beautiful friend of a song that will be beside you at all times through everything the life throws at us.

The song is unapologetically Optimistic and Hopeful. It's saccharine to the highest level, and it works. People don't realize just how hard it is to do Cute without it feeling cringy and over-the-top. The way Chuu has branded herself, how she markets herself, it's genius. She and her team have been very savvy in how they go about things, because anything she does brings with it a strong sense of likeability and relatability. Oh, and the Superhero Chuu is, she's a Powerpuff Girl grown up!

Yep. She was my LOONA bias before all the goings on and always will be. The 'Howl' EP totally blew me away. And this certainly didn't disappoint either. This EP is pure confidence fuel.

Most cutesy-wootsey kpop content and aegyo is mostly more difficult for me to digest (except for funny moments like Tzuyu’s Pika-Chu clip) - but Chuu brings a smile to my face so naturally with her bright personality, followed by then her voice is so mature and powerful… truly a 1-2 punch KO

The scenes of her runnig on the wall are wire work, she was seen doing it melbourne, she also shot insisde a mexican restaurant called "Hotel Jesus". I live near that taqueria, just saw the filming crew tho. She also flimed in the famous grafitti alley called "Hosier Lane"

I definitely gave this song a listen after seeing some TikTok‘s challenges of her and other idols plus her cool MV bts~ I just love the sound of bubblegum pop and I decided to listen to it fully. I absolutely fell in love and it’s already been 2 months since I’ve loved it. still I am obsessed with the song. I knew and know that she is extremely talented but wow, I love her and will love to get to know her even more than I used to know her back then. I did not know her to this extent and shame on me for that. I have not listened to her debut, but I definitely will listen to that EP.

since i had just gotten into kpop at the beginning of 2023, i didn't realize (even after watching your reaction) that Howl and the EP it was released on was her solo debut (I was somewhat aware of the issues that Chuu and Loona in general had with their agency and such), but what you are saying makes a lot of sense and even if I didn't love Chuu's voice, I think would still love her music bc it's just so , idk uplifting or heartwarming in terms of the wall running scene, I watched the behind the scenes video and yes, chuu did do that herself

I agree with PD. I honestly think Chuu had one of the best albums last year. Not debut or title track: album. Every song fit the theme of the album, and every song was great. Saying all that, I feel Strawberry Rush lives up to her previous title. I do think the previous mini album was stronger over all, but in no way am I talking down to the new album. It's just as good with amazing songs, but I do think the themes were stronger last time.

Chuu never really stood out to me when she was still a member of Loona. But now that she is a solo artist and has her own KZbin show I can't have enough. She is truly amazing :D

The reason why isn't cheesy, well it's CHUU! She's the only one in entire world that an epitome of CUTE. She's just pure cuteness. I've seen A LOT of kpop idols (or even every other human at all) that doing cute things and most of all is just cheesy and cringe BUT CHUU is just natural. She's really born with that cuteness. Nothing cheesy and cringe at all. Maybe some people first impression of her saying something like "oh she's like that just in front of camera" "her personality actually not like that" but after i watch her in many videos, there's no way someone would fake a personality like that. And even people who have met her in person say the same, she's just a fluff ball irl. And that's why every SANE person that work with her really admire her (underline the "sane" word because, *side eye* BBC)

Chuu could be the next best soloist since Taeyeon and IU. I could genuinely see it. She has the voice and charisma for it. I think her biggest obstacle is going to be the perception the public has of her. Still too many people see her as a variety star as opposed to a singer and then they always act shocked when she blows them away with her vocals. Like... get on with the program!! Too many people not even giving her a chance because they expect so little of someone who they think is simply just an entertainer meant to be funny and cute. The titletrack is *amazing*. I don't necessarily have a favorite between the two titletracks so far, in my opinion, both Howl and Strawberry Rush are spectacular in their own ways and showcase very different sides of Chuu that I find both very appealing to the same extent. However, in my opinion, the debut mini-album itself was significantly stronger than this new mini-album. It wasn't bad, but besides Strawberry Rush, the highs weren't as high.

Hands down the best K-pop solo & single，EP so far this year！Chuu beats wendy this time imo. and yes she did the wire work, there's latest BTS videos up there lol she was so cute doing it.
