Yes, considering the simplicity of these cars their abilities are quite impressive, and on the other hand their simplicity is the answer: The weight empy is only 420 Kg and they inherently have a very low roll centre. Therefore you do not need sophisticated aero to achieve relatively high corner speeds. ...but it is really relative. Compared with other open wheelers with slick tyres and basic downforce a formula ford cornering speed is somehow pathetic...

Denny Renfrow Yep! Especially on the artificial turf behind the kerb! :-) After I lost close contact to my opponent in Les Combes I just desperately tried to close the gap again towards Blanchimont. It was the last lap and I had nothing to lose. ...didn't work! ...never mind. was great fun, anyway!

Great race, you are a good racer. It did seem to me though a little too impatient on corner exit, especially those slow corners killing your line by applying throttle too hard too early. But I have never driven a big formula to see what it's like so maybe I'm wrong.

Hello, How much a year usually cost, and a car? Can you put wings on it ?

A car is usually between 15K and 25K and wings are not allowed by reglement for 1600cc cars. You need a 2000cc Formula Ford if you want wings.

What's max rpm of the engine ?

about 6600rpm up to 7200rpm. ...some engines prepared by british tuners are rumored to come close to 8000 revs. ...it is strongly depending on the engine's origin regarding tuning, since there are different engineering approaches on getting top performance out of the engine.

How comes there are so many different cars on the track involved in a supposedly monotype race?

...simply for financial reasons: There are to less competitors in each class (in each type of car) to arrange a single race for each type. To keep the entry fee for each contestant on an affordable level, the series organiser tries to keep each session as crowded as possible. For example: The track limit for Spa is something around 64 cars per session. putting less on the track means each competitor would have to pay a larger portion of the total amount of track rental fee...
