You are so organized!!! Can't say my stash looks like that. I agree on the propolis. One of my favorites. I have damaged lungs and the only thing I found that gets the stuck stuff out of my lungs is Osha and Lobelia. I have hacked up huge mucous plugs. Discovered that with my dad and his copd and learned quickly how amazing that little blend was. It works fast. They have to be mixed together for it to have the best effects. At least in my experience. Either alone doesn't cut it it for me. I have seen this help others too with serious pneumonia the past few years. Kept a few people out of the hospital. But this is a fantastic blend. some of my favorite remedies. Looks like we might have studied from the some of the same teachers who are a bit ore old schooled. 🙂 I am laughing tho. You are so specific with measuring. I eyeball everything and make a mess usually. haha! And I love Lobelia. Next to Osha it is probably one of my favorite herbs. 🙂 Have to say tho I am a super low doser. Started off with about 6 drops per dose; this was my dose for probably around 25 years; but over the past 5 years or so, I got down to one under the tongue. Always works. Even with pain herbs which surprised me. Matt Wood has always been one of my favorite teachers yet I could never quite grasp the one drop dose; I hovered around 6-8; but after years I finally moved in that direction. Always amazes me how well that works. People are always shocked. I love it because it saves so much time, money and resources. I have even been known to make some homeopathic like dilutions that have also worked great. I can't say homeopathic because I don't do the whole dilution process; I just put a drop in water; and then take tiny doses of that. Always trying to see what I can get away with. Natural medicine is simply amazing. Loved this video.💜

@@daviddent5763 I simply mix them at 50/50 and take 1-2 drops under my tongue as needed; or regularly for prevention. I also add in some other herbs (in a separate bottle) for a broad acting lung healer (Mullein, Goldenrod, Plantain, etc.) but as far as a quick acting formula; I keep it simple with the Osha Root and Lobelia. I have found you need to use the alcohol versions. I have tried glycerine based ones and they do not work the same. Also, I have since found that adding in some Khella & Thyme are excellent additions to those 2; and they do not effect the speed and depth of action. I have not found any herbal remedies to work for my lungs like these. I am not much into specific measurements, I just eye ball it. If I use all 4 (adding in some Khella and Thyme) I basically use equal parts. 🙂

I’m fairly new to the Herbalism walk and am just starting to learn all of the benefits and uses for herbs. As a Christian who loves knowledge and is learning this more out of a desire to be a better steward of my body (and let’s face it, medicine is expensive nowadays), I seriously appreciate how informative your videos are! I appreciate that you and your mom back up what you do with research and learning! Your herbalism library has inspired me to start collecting at least one book on some aspect of self-sustainability with every paycheck for my own budding library! Maybe I haven’t gotten too far into my own books and research yet, but I haven’t really seen this concept of tincture mixing, even though it makes so much sense! You do quite a number of videos on teas and the herbs you use, but could you do a video about your process of choosing different tinctures to mix together and what properties you look for for when you make them? Maybe along with some of your staple tinctures (whether single herb or mixtures) that you find useful to keep on hand at all times for various uses? I think it would be super helpful for others like myself who are just starting our own home apothecaries but might be on a tighter budget and have to be a bit more selective as we start out. Thank you to you and your mom for always being so informative in your videos! They are beyond helpful!
@enchantress2476 Жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you. I found this video while looking for herbs to heal my lungs after smoking for 30-years. Doctors have told me it's not possible, but I believe The Most High, has provided natural means of healing our temples after we sometimes so ignorantly abuse them. Ater I've been diagnosed I start my venture to determine what He created to heal my temple instead of continuing pharmaceuticals that can do even more damage, not that we should ignore our doctor's expertise. We need to understand we can cause even more damage by combining certain herbs with pharmaceuticals or our condition may need to continue the prescriptions. We can work together with them as a guide to avoid doing more harm than good. I praise TMH in the name of Christ for blessing me with His truth which always supersedes man's. We should just be careful of our decisions. Peace and blessings to you all and thank you so much for sharing your ministry.

@acegardner4425 Жыл бұрын
@@sherylhart2704I don't know if you are still seeking an ethical source for Propolis, but if so, and if you are in the lower 48 of the U.S., I would suggest GloryBee in Eugene, Oregon. They have a decent website that seems to be differentiated by cosmetic/bath type uses, culinary, and a beekeeper section. Their Propolis is superior, as is their Royal Jelly, but I must tell you that, at least when I ordered from them (& I only bought a pound and I •still• have quite a lot left; and it's still good!), but it was probably around 2017, and at that time, they were mixing it with carob because it is so difficult to work with for many people. It's exceedingly sticky more than anything and you really must designate certain tools to it, or at the least to 'resins' in general. For example, I have a coffee bean grinder, just a small simple electric bushing style standard grinder just for resins only and I have it marked and I only ever put frozen resin in it and nothing else. I have other grinders for mineral powders and for herbs. This Propolis-carob mixture (I believe it is 80%-20% respectively) is a little easier to work with than plain Propolis, I suppose, but the carob brings it's own rowdiness to the party. I definitely would have thought it would decrease the lifespan of the resin but it has not in the least. Everything you make with it is black as night, but as long as you tincture it in 95% food-grade ethanol at between 1:2 & 1:5, you will find it to be extremely powerful, with a unique adjuvant quality that seems to extrapolate on the potency of the other components with which you tincture it. Good luck to anyone seeking these blessed medicines. Make sure that anything you do spend money on is cultivated/harvested with the utmost care and knowledge. We don't want to destroy these precious allies during these shaky climatic times. And the bees we truly need most of all. As one last point, I wanted to share that Apis, bee venom, as a medicinal or a cosmeceutical, can now be harvested without permanently harming the bees. It is collected with a pane of glass and the bees do not lose their stingers this way. Much love, suki

I am SO glad I came across your video! I'm going nuts trying to figure out how to make a Metheglin (medical mead). I could use advice on the best way to impart the medicinal properties of herbs and spices I want into the mead I'm making. I'm looking to craft an immune-boosting mead starting with elderberries. Herbs I was considering, are mullein, meadowsweet, echinacea, rosemary, thyme, and elderflowers. I'm 58 years old and have stage 2 COPD. It's easy for a minor cold to quickly turn into pneumonia, so I have to be very vigilant when it comes to when I feel a bit under the weather. I can add these herbs in 3 different ways that I'm aware of. I could add it to the must while it's fermenting. Or I could make tea by simmering the herbs in hot water and then adding them to the must once cooled. Another possibility is to add tinctures of the different herbs to the mead while it's aging. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Great, thank you so much! 🙏🏻 I just found your channel and cannot stop watching 😅… I‘m also into healing herbs, but here in south-eastern Europe (Germany, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia). I wonder, when you showed elderberry, you showed a picture of sambucus ebulus, not sambucus nigra (I‘m sorry I don‘t know the exact english translationes for these species, so I use the latin names to be precise). We now ebulus as very poisonous here, whereas we use sambucus nigra in many variations, like the flowers for tea or - very famous - syrup or a kind of „champagne“ and we make juice of the berries. In winter we drink that juice hot, sweetened with honey with some slices of orange, cinnamon, cloves when we sense an upcoming cold, it initiates a lot of heat - like fever - in the body. But we learned that even the raw berries of sambucus nigra are poisonous. So we always cook them. So I wonder 1. if you really use the ebulus or nigra and 2. how you make the tincture, even if you use the nigra… from the raw berries? 🤔

I don't know what mold would look like in a tincture and I don't know what a tincture gone wrong would look or smell like. Can you provide me with any guidance?? Anything would would help. Thank you.
