Asking for forgiveness is easy but repentance is hard but possible. Example: you had sex outside of marriage and ask for forgiveness. God will see if you truly are regretting it when your urges return and sees if you fall back or you turn to him.) That is true repentance. I used to be addicted to adult content and would ask for forgiveness but God knew I wasn’t repenting because I had my next videos scheduled for next week. I got to tell you when I said enough, the urges were killing me but instead of giving in I dropped to my knees and gave my life to the lord. I am now 12 years in and turn to Christ every time I am tempted!!!!

Repentance is not something we achieve on own, that sounds more like willpower. Repentance is a gift from God, He is the one that grants us a heart of repentance. Listen to Paul Washers sermon on repentance. Simply put repentance is a change of mind and agreeing with God that what we have done is sin. There will always be the battle between flesh and spirit, Paul talks about exactly that.

Every time we repent of our sin we crucify the Lord Jesus Some may think, “I can just repent if Jesus is going to keep forgiving me.” This is the devil’s biggest lie. Because Jesus said that he would return like a thief in the night….. Revelation 16:15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) Our Father’s will is for us to hate sin. Hate it so much that we try and avoid it like vampires would sunlight. That is why he instructs us to share Ezekiel 3:18 with those that choose to disobey his commandments. And to not associate with nonbelievers if it be socially (unless you are spreading the gospel) or romantically 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?

Fornication is in general, defrauding the brethren/the saved. In particular, a form of fornication involves unlawful sex. For examples, when Ham saw Noah’s nakedness, the Bible’s (KJB) wording reveals that Ham slept with Noah’s wife, Ham’s mother, and this fornication/unlawful sex brought Canaan into the world (which is why Noah cursed Canaan). Paul rebukes this fornication in 1 Corinthians 5:1. The man in that case was sleeping with his father’s wife, that woman wasn’t his to sleep with - they were unmarried. In Leviticus 18, all the parties listed are sexually off limits *if not married to each other*. (There are many examples in the Bible of men taking to wife sisters, aunts, cousins, etc., which then would make sex between them lawful. If not married though, it would be fornication: hence the verse, “it is better to marry than to burn”.) Sex between two saved persons outside of marriage is fornication: in OT law, the man would have to marry the virgin of Israel that he humbled. If she were a fiancé, the man would be put to death, and the maid also, if it happened in a city. If it happened in the woods, and she cried but no one was around, it was treated as though the man raped her or as if someone got murdered. So she would not have been put to death in that case. Fornication is not exclusively sex outside of marriage. Samson laid a philistine harlot in Gaza. Gilead laid a harlot and had Jepthah, who wasn’t born of fornication, like Canaan, because Gilead wasn’t a married man, he was a bachelor who had lawful sex (with an unsaved woman/harlot), and Jephthah happened to be conceived. Judah thought Tamar was a harlot and produced Pharez and Zarah with her. These weren’t born of fornication either. Pharez was an ancestor of Jesus, so if these two were born of fornication, then so was the Lord Jesus (!). The Hebrew young men would have laid with Ruth if they could, but Boaz told them not to. You see, Israelite maidens were not harlots (look at what Dinah’s brothers said about her and Shechem in Genesis 31). There is a difference in the eyes of God between an unsaved woman (like a Philistine or a Midianite woman) and a saved woman (like an Israelite-OT). The Israelite maidens were expected to be virgins up until they were given to a man by their father. It was dire consequences if Israelite maidens were found to not be virgins at time of consummation of marriage. Israelite men however, did not have the same sexual limits set upon them. Many Israelite men had multiple wives, for example. How would those men be virgins before marriage to the other wives? It didn’t matter: saved, bachelor men can have sex with unmarried, unsaved women. Once the man marries, though, the limits of sex are to his wife or wives, only. Samson’s parents weren’t worried about their bachelor son’s philistine/pagan/unsaved girlfriends. They just didn’t want him marrying a pagan. Look it up. The priest asked David if the men had “at least” kept themselves from women when David requested the showbread. Meaning, it was common knowledge that Israelite men who didn’t have wives would regularly lay harlots or get pagan girlfriends like Samson did. The concept that all sex outside of marriage is fornication is not biblical at all, but originated with pagan philosophy. Some Christian teachers early on took up some of that pagan philosophy (see Colossians 2:8 KJB) and mixed biblical doctrine with it. So it’s vital that we Bible believers stick to scripture (KJB) and believe God’s words and not what man says about God’s words. ♥️ As for adultery, that one’s a bit simpler to break down. David was married, Bath-sheba was married, but not to each other. Their sex was unlawful, it was adultery. Since it defrauded the both of them, and Uriah, and David’s other wives, it was also fornication. This is why David went to the Lord with Psalm 51 and begged the Lord not to take the Holy Spirit from David, and also not to cast away David. David feared for his salvation. Fornication is serious!!!!!!

I think fornication is cheating. It is the same as having sex for only selfish reasons. Adultery is actually much more and I think we have missed it. Adultery is the classification of many sins and saying they are allowed because we have become adults. We teach our kids well but give ourselves a pass as Adults. And when two become one, that's their two separate flesh combining to create a new being. One. The child. The two are now joined in that child. Just like your mom and dad were joined in your creation. A man and a man cannot do that. A woman and a woman cannot do that. Only a man and a woman can become one. Anything else is like sticking forks in the outlet.

@dadquality so if the 2 who are supposedly joined together can not conceive children, are they still one? I don't fight for homosexuals, I'm not one they can fight for themselves. 99.99% of the time when you're having sex, it's not for procreation it's for pleasure. The main purpose for sex is pleasure.

@@electriccane3320 not everyone is destined to have children. God is still glorified in their union. Some people serve a different purpose for God. And in regard to the pleasure part, a lot of people eat food for the same reason, not just for sustenance, but for enjoyment in it as well. It's not usually just for one reason or the other. Why have taste buds? Or rather, why make sex so enjoyable if not for that purpose exactly? Enjoy it and do it in a healthy way.

@dadquality I don't believe in marriage. It's a bad idea and a bad contract to sign for both parties. How can you promise someone that you're going to love them for the rest of your life? Even at 25 years old, you're still growing. Half of the time it ends in divorce, so what was the point.? Yahweh could not have come up with an idea with an over 50% failure rate.
