Lol You clearly don't understand tax laws. If you buy anything you couldn't afford or put 10 grand or more in the bank then you gotta show where that money came from on tax forms. So unless youre not going to spend that cash at all, then you will get audited and when you cant prove where you got that cash from then the government is going to seize your cash, assets and send you to prison for tax evasion.

@nicoc.2538 To further your points look what people say about the Crown's national museum and all the treasures they "legally acquired". I'll say at least the British are realizing now how fucked up it is to have all these nations historic and important artifacts and 90% of it is just stored in warehouses where the people who made/owned/love/worship these things will never get to see it. Now other European countries are acting like the English from 10-20 years ago and bitching about the idea of giving these assets back to the original owners and saying they don't deserve to have their statues or paintings or religious artifacts back.

@Upsidedown Nugget You high dude? The government doesn't own a ship that was buried. They technically own the land, sure, but you do realize the government also owns your property too? If they wanted to they can come and dig your yard up as long as they make up a reason that's plausible and there is absolute dog poop you can do about it. They don't play fair. Why should people who get screwed over by the same government not take advntage of their passion and take a chance to retire? If you were a treasure hunter and you found treasure that was in some remote area and you tried to legally claim it, and the government just swooped in and took it all, how would you feel? You sure as fuvk won't be happy about it. How would you feel if you were to dump thousands of dollars of your OWN money into a new business and the government came along and decided to seize your property because they need to and didn't tell you why? @@Daniel-Choe yeah you dont own property do you? Or have any idea where Perth is or what actually happened. It was a Dutch boat the bativa which was found by a guy who was paid by the government to go find it. He knew everything he found would end up in a museum (in Fremantle) but he got paid well to find it. You are arguing about a story this guy guy got completely wrong. But if some random guy was on my property without my permission and found treasure I would expect him not to keep it. If he asked me to have a look around and dig first I wouldn’t have a problem but would expect compensation which is exactly what happened no one got fffed over. Well the crew of the boat did with the mutiny and all but instead of talking about the actual history which is interesting he just makes up a story and you believe it and get angry over something that never happened.
@Daniel-Choe
@Daniel-Choe Жыл бұрын
@Upsidedown Nugget I'm far from angry. I'm just replying to you. The specific story you speak of, yes I can agree if he got paid by the government then yeah understandable. However the situation in which he is talking about is very real in many other cases. This specific story is what you say, and it all panned out the way they planned. This doesn't mean that what I stated is wrong. Governments take from people all the damn time without their permission because they don't care. That's my point. In a scenario where the government isn't involved then my whole thing is don't involve them and look out for yourself and the people you care about. If the government wanted to dig up your land for a specific reason you don't have a say so. They just show up with papers and do it because they can. A random person on your land is one thing. The government doesn't care. You don't technically own your own damn land. You're just borrowing it from the government. Acting like we own our own land is delusional. This is why I say look out for yourself and those you care for first.

Ya just gotta hide it & only claim 1 piece, leave one in ground / water, so you can show’em area where you FOUND IT‼️ Then WAH LAH, “THEY” find decoy & all is well‼️ • REPEAT SAME SCENARIO • in a very different area - a year or so later... Pretty sure it’s a made up story but who digs up someone else’s property - steals it and then tells the government what he stole and thinks they will just let him go? He stole it from someone else’s land then dobbed himself in! Like seriously? Why are people outraged? If I dug up your backyard can I keep what I find?

People have no fucking idea how corrupt it is over here. The Gov has made themselves untouchable. If they want it, they TAKE it. And if it's worth money, you better believe they want it. Voting is compulsory here, and we were forced under penalty of fine/jail to go out and vote in 2020 when the pandemic was brand new and killing everyone and no one new how bad it was. Why did they force people to vote? Because every vote is worth approx $5 (split in an extremely complex system between the individual and their party). There are conditions such as a minimum number of votes, etc, ... But the bottom line is they have given themselves over $400 million since it was started in the mid eighties,... and to rub our faces in it, the reason it was brought in was to stop companies bribing the Gov with 'donations'. Interestingly, they didn't STOP political donations, and as much as the Gov makes per vote they get, they still get FAR more from said 'donations'. ($24 million and $23 million respectively for the Liberals and Labor parties in 2016). This money (which WAS collected as tax to be used for roads, schools, hospitals, etc,... Now belongs to the Party and can be used for anything from advertising to Christmas parties. FOUR. HUNDRED. MILLION. DOLLARS). In 2016 our Trade Minister, Andrew Robb, paid a consultancy firm $13 million TAX PAYERS dollars to decide who would get the 99 year lease on the Darwin Seaport. It was ultimately awarded to the Chinese company 'Landbridge' (people may know this name from China's 'Belt and Road' initiative). Less than 12 months later, Robb AND the head of the consultancy firm who recommended Landbridge were BOTH working for Landbridge ..... as consultants. And this level of corruption isn't extreme enough to even warrant an investigation. We have another minister being investigated for a similar thing at the moment. At any time there are at least a dozen enquiries going on, looking at why money vanished, or how companies got contracts, etc, etc..... One of the favorites of the parasites who run this country is to buy a house in Canberra (where our Parliament House is) which they put in their partners name. And then, when they travel to Canberra to 'work', they take the accommodation allowance from the Gov to pay board IN THEIR OWN HOUSE. This one is so common that they freely admit it, saying they're "Not breaking any rules". We have a huge homeless problem, and most are only getting by because they work 12 hour days 6 days a week. About 15 years ago the politicians decided they shouldn't have to ASK for a pay rise, so now they AUTOMATICALLY get a pay rise every 3 months, meanwhile we have elderly dying in their houses from cold (yes, some places get cold in Australia in winter) and hunger. Our Prime Minister is one of the highest paid leaders in the world, only behind some monarchs and dictators. He receives $564,000 per year, his opposite number (who is a lame duck, and is basically there to disagree with whatever the PM says), gets $401,000 per year. It may look like all kangaroos, koalas and sunshine, but the reality is we have one of the most corrupt governments on the planet

The trick was to keep the treasure a secret. Just like the Oak island brothers did when they found the fortune, it was only a few years ago that their grandchildren revealed what happened after the gold had all been sold and the wealth used up of course.

One dude I knew decades ago, he started remodeling his garden and renovating the house at the same time. A complete overhaul, spent all the money he'd saved up, expecting to leave the property to his grandchildren some day. While working on the garden, he dug up this old viking relic.. And stupidly declared it.. Immedietly he got a cease and desist type letter, ording him to stop all work on the property, as archeologists would come and dig up everything to make sure nothing is destroyed.. Government tore down the house, cuz it was built on top of some shit they excavated, and he wasn't compensated a dime, cuz the excavated "relics" belongs to the state . Leaving him bankrupt, since he couldn't sell the property either, when there's an archeological dig going on, making it illegal to do anything with the property.. NEVER declare anything. You found it, it belongs to you.
