TRX rides like nothing else. Interior of the top trim TRX was better than any high end vehicle I’ve seen. Exterior/Stance Looks much nicer in person in my opinion. It has a presence that is hard to describe. Ultimately my intrusive thoughts about my crush won, and now I have her locked in my garage 😂 And a $100k in debt 😭

I brought a ranger raptor with a 2ltr bi turbo, it has enough power for what I do with it and definitely more fuel efficient but still quite thirsty. It’s made to be a fun on-road truck that’s fast and can play around on the weekend. The Raptor is bred in Baja and can pretty much handle anything you throw at it off-road.

As someone who’s driven both regularly (I work for a CDJR dealership and my Dad owns a Raptor R), these two trucks are so similar to each other that other than looks and a few small differences (such as rear travel distance), they’re really not very different from one another. I prefer the TRX though, for the same reasons stated in this video.

Also comes down to whether you like 10 speed Automatic Transmission ( Raptor R ) or 8 speed Automatic Transmission ( Trx ), the only reason why I would go with the Raptor R is bc I like the 10 speed than the 8 speed, but what I like too is how comfortable it is and how smooth it is on road and off road, it tows more… I wish it had the supercharger sound to it tho plus the 12 inch screen I would not handle, the tailgate cuz I’m a big hunter😂. But the reason I would buy the TRX instead of the Raptor R is the luxurious interior, the insane power output, the supercharger noise, and it just looks much more cool than the Raptor R… nothing can compare to the Mighty TRX even the Easter Egg gives it away!😁😌😂

Most of the points he made would not have been deal breakers for me. like the heads up display, it's not an issue for me, just fluff. When he said the interior was better, that for me would be more of a deal breaker. the makes of shocks, I don't know enough about shocks to know if that is a big deal or not. For me, neither of them would be on my shopping list, they would be wasted on me because I don't go places that would need that type of ability, like buying a dully truck to drive around town.

The reason the whine is louder in the TRX is because the super charger is less efficient. But, gotta love that sound.

All solid points, the main part you left out was the exorbitant mechanical or electrical failures the TRXs have had compared to the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Raptors. Looks and similar stats don't nean much if its in the shop half the time.

I dig what you are saying and yes both are great trucks but I choose the Ford because for an off road capable truck 4x4 is better in the long run than awd. Less regular wear and tear on parts. Just my opinion though.

As a Ford guy, I do like how the Raptor R looks over the TRX, but at the same time they do have very similar performance but the TRX costs about 30K less than the Raptor R, you can’t really beat that…🤷‍♂️

I have had mine over a year and there have been no recalls. I would like to know which you are referring to on the TRX. Thanks.

@@PatriotJK1776The TRX has the same recalls as the regular Ram. A stop-sale recall in 2021 for the faulty trailer camera control module. A 2022 Recall for tailgates that may open on there own. This is in addition to the loads of other problems people are having with the TRX on the forum within the first year, "High pitch squeal in engine area", "Front differential broken", "Oil temp sensor leaking" "Axle boot leaking", "Leaking oil" etc.

Cheaper but better quality, more performance capability and aftermarket support, no need to associate yourself with a company like Ford that's so detached from their target customer base either. Ram TRX is a Raptor Killer. Dodge made sure to let everyone know with that killer graphic no pun intended. I may be biased because I've worked for CJDR but I know damn well most car guys agree. Single cab, short bed baby TRX is what the world needs right now.

Take the Raptor R all day long. It's far more proven. Orig Raptor won Baja 1000 stock yrs ago! Both are amazing trucks & if your lucky to own one..enjoy! #F150Raptor 🇺🇸
