I’m an elder millennial and I know that this distinct kind of “humour” is what Gen Z mocks us for. A movie where there’s a huge explosion and the hero says “okay so… this could complicate things!” Or a car turns into a spaceship “okay so I guess that happens in my life now.” It’s fucking cringey mate!

I think its because people now hate these kinds of smart arse characters in video games and movies and people are just projecting that general annoyance on to this trailer because its a brilliant representation of that sort of smart arse, snarky, cringy, marvel Esq dialog. Nothing takes itself seriously these days and I think this trailer was just the straw that broke all of our collective backs. Cant count how many games and movies i watch or play these days and internally I'm screaming "NOBODY FUCKING SPEAKS LIKE THAT!", it proper takes me out of it.

Either way this dialogue isn't my thing really but I expect it gets better as the game goes on.
