I used to make 18th century knives and axes for a living and Ft. Fred was always my favorite event. I did the first one and the next 10 or so Lots of good memories! Went this year as a tourist , sold a smooth bore I carried around, enjoyed myself

Hey Mike... great fair, I just wish I could’ve been there. I’m actually working towards being able to be there next year. Hopefully you’ll have some more calendars with... “ Mikes greatest builds “ as the theme. The leather work I do is more geared to the mid evil time period. And I had an event near Pittsburgh I had already promised to be at. But with your help finding out the dates of the Fredrick Fair I am shooting for it next year and meeting you. Thanks again for a great Vid.

I went Saturday, and the weather could not have been better for the visit. I have a couple of friends who do 18th century re-enacting, and they have been lamenting the fact that the hobby is "aging". But I will say that this year, I saw more younger people at the Market Fair than any previous visit I have made.

I like these types of reenactments, where you can almost have and understand how people lived back then..... and those gunsmith that recreate firearm by the old style is really cool.... and the funniest thing is that I have lived in Maryland all my life and never knew that they had this in Maryland

Mike - thanks for posting this video of the fair. Perhaps you could do a video description of what you have with you when you attend this type of fair. The type of tent, things you have with you and just what makes your particular camp comfortable, especially, if it's raining.

I'm a far West boy, but I love this! The things the vendors have makes me drool. The people seem to be very well in dress. I do love my Fur Trade history over here, but IMO it's beat out by our History to the East. Thanks for the show.

13:47 English defeat of the French in the war of the Roses 1) why would the Scots celebrate that, 2) War of the Roses was between House of Lancaster and House of York for the English throne, polish up your history i think:)
