Fort Steele and Fisherville Gold Panning

This is the second half of my last weekends camping trip. On the Saturday we toured Fort Steele quickly and took some Gold panning lessons. Dave was pretty pumped and wanted to go mining for gold so we took off by the bridge which was a free panning area but didn't have much luck at all. We then headed up to fisherville again and did some panning in the old tailings. We did find some Gold but not enough to give me gold fever

great video....gold is illusive for the most part....just came back from Dawson City ..12000 mile round trip from Mattawa Ontario....now theres a trip !..and a HALF !

If you ever make it to Arizona I'll show you how to prospect. There is drops in the river,and it can be hard too find them, but if you know what you are looking for that will get you if the ballpark. It's also nice to find out where and what they were mining. There might be place not a lot of placer there. They may have been mining a certain hill there.

I got laid off 15th of April because of a jealous French man who thinks he knows everything and was worried if he didn't throw me under the bus he would have been let go so I flooded the internet with my resume and got that dream job I'm in for 20 days out for 10 the best benefits I have ever seen in the 25 yrs I have been in the industry really good pay too well into the $40's+. Does it look like you might be slowing down at all or does it look like things might balance out for you

that's awesome, i've always wanted to go up north but never seem to get any bites, would love a job 7 in and 7 out. things have slowed down for us we started a service division at work that me and another person are taking care of. Should be a few struggles in the beginning i'm sure

loso j the river was running too fast to get to the other side as it is spring run off but both sides have been mined hydraulically
