This is one of the greatest sequels despite being released 14 years after the original. Harper not having success after Unfinished Business was his karma for airing out his dirty laundry in the original movie. You should watch The Best Man Final Chapters. Next week’s review is Last Holiday.

I watched that show. It was...not that good. The original movie did not need a sequel, but you could tell the creator really dedicated his life to this characters and just wanted to continue everything until its end.

I’m telling you, Q was my favorite! He was honest with everyone but also had compassion. The scene with Mia’s funeral will definitely give you tears! Especially when Lance breaks down, I can’t! 😭

Harper was so wrong for not telling his wife that he lost his job. She wanted a baby with a WORKING man. He lost that job months - a year ago then likely drained his savings. Remember: Quentin lent him $10,000+ credit (he co-signed on a card with him). So how much time between losing his job, running out savings, asking for the loan, and Quentin asking in the movie for an update on payment? He waited for to get her pregnant and in her 3rd trimester before finally being forced to tell her. He didn't even try to save what little he had by reducing their spending (to keep the image up to his wife)!

I cried at the movies when Lance broke down. Now I cry every time I watch this movie: when the women found out about Mia, when the guys Comforted Lance, and Jordan crying in the bathtub 😩💔Last Holiday is next. This is one of my comfort movies I watch every year.

I haven't watched the recap yet, but based off the title alone I want to say that I, too sobbed in the theater watching this alone. I didn't have any tissues and had to use my gloves to mop my eyes and nose. I was embarrassed walking out the theater with me eyes all red when it ended. 😄

Fun Fact: The Ladies actually did a routine to Aaliyah's Rock The Boat but it was cut due to time. Why it wasn't released as a bonus scene, I'll never know! @@ajenesolomon1982 HPV can lie dormant for decades. You can get it from sexual contact with a partner that has it, but it often takes 10+ years to manifest and become full-blown cancer. That's why the vaccination is so important in saving lives. Plus, unless you have only had sexual contact (not intercourse, but any fluids) with only 1 partner, 1 time, you'll never know when you contracted it.

This movie triggers the eff out of me now because I lost my mother to cancer in 2016. We saw this movie together in the theaters, and we were both crying our eyes out. I didn't know yet about her diagnosis, and I'm not sure if she knew then either, but this movie hits different now. I watched the Peacock series too, just because I wanted to see what happened, but I have no interest in ever watching either again because it's so damn sad.

i avoided this movie for years. i paused this video with the intention of finally watching the movie and later coming back to watch the review. i got, maybe, ten minutes into the film and decided to just watch the review, and i'm glad i did. Funny though. .. at first sight of Mia, i KNEW she was sick. Monica Calhoun ALWAYS comes through with the acting chops, but i just couldn't sit through that movie. Thank you for this review!

So I remember people talking about this movie when it first premiered back in 2013 but after ppl kept saying bring tissues and stuff, that’s when I was like nah, I’m good. I still haven’t watched this movie so the recap was good enough for me. Harper was definitely going to sellout Lance to make ends meet just like before. Like sir, did you forget the belt to a** whooping Lance gave you in the last movie? But I guess it’s true that money talks and bs walks. I knew someone passed away in the movie but I thought it was Murch for some reason. Hate to learn that it was Mia. There were moments of growth and moments of non growth but it was definitely a decent movie. I’m surprised you never saw the movie prior to the recap 🤯. I enjoyed your recap as always! As for next week’s recap, all I’m going to do is sit back and wait. Not sure what next week’s recap is.
