I've been using this noise gate for a couple of months now and it's perfect. Probably the best noise gate out there.

by FAR the best demo on this pedal on the web. thank you! also thank you for add. breakdown of how those loops work on the back of most amps... been playing for 28 years and never really utilized that shit, so it was nice to have a little lesson on it, honestly. cheers!

I have a Marshall with a parallel effects loop and if I dial the mix 100% wet, there is no dry signal bypassing the effects loop, so there’s no phasing issue or the possibility of having triggering problems. The fully wet parallel effects loop acts the same as a series loop.

I have 4 of these. I had a few Zuul mini's, but I sold all but one of then to upgrade to the Zuul+.

Awesome demo, I'm sold on getting one of these for my mesa amps, however I don't think my mark III red stripe fx loop is a series loop so does this mean it won't work as well?? I'm trying to get rid of this awful hum it currently has and wondering if this pedal will truly fix that issue

I was learning how to use my new Zuul+ in 4CM, and now I realize what I really need is a JVM, haha. That boosted OD2 sounds killer.

Does it "shriek" with higher gain settings? I have tried several gates that do not require a dedicated splitter and all of them started to "squeal" at mid-high gain stuff.

My understanding is that the Zuul+ key input-thru is buffered. How will this work with germanium fuzzes, like a Tonebender MK1? Everyone knows that germanium fuzzes don't play well with a buffer in front of them: the transistors need to "see" the guitar's volume pot directly. The Zuul+ would be a better design if the key-thru was true bypass so it would play nice with germanium fuzzes. Am I missing something?

can you elaborate on the comment you made about the ground loop between fx loop and pedalboard? thats the first ive ever heard about this ground loop issue. usually its dual amps running in stereo that cause grounding or bad power if im not mistaken. i ask bc i noticed my marshall tsl 100w head is noisy when i have the fx loop engaged with the amps loop level button pushed in. i have a isp deicmator g string in my fx loop with the gutar signal going into the isps guitar in/out into my head. when the decimator hits 11oclock it removes the guitar hum and introduces a different hum from the pedal (or amp) less noisier than with no gate. i see you also have a tsl 100. maybe you can help me get my amp sounding dead quiet with a smooth ass gate! might get this too since i prefer top mount jacks to save space in the rack.

i should also add... my isp is last in the pedalboard signal chain before hitting the front of the amp. it conveniently connects to my head via the the rack which the decimator in and outs are connected to my effects loop. maybe i need to place it first on my board again? thing is i dont like the tone suck of just connecting into the decimator in/outs. at least in my rack adding the use of the guitar in/out acts as a key input which improves the signal flow.

Just got this pedal. It kills my EHX Silencer. I always had what I assumed was interference hooting amp through my fx loop cables- kid I moved those cables around it would influence how much noise I was getting. But, the Zuul has stopped that noise!

OG Zuul is still dope, especially if you have the spliff or roach. Even on its own its one of the best noise gates I've tried.
