I've put over 40,000 miles on my Fieldsheer 2 piece perforated leather jacket and pants and they have been top notch. Although heavy and maybe not the best material for the rain I feel the safest. I Treat them with Lexol once a year and they still look great. I wear an under layer in the winter that blocks the wind and keeps me warm and I wear a rain suit over them if I get caught in the rain. Nothing beats leather if you were to have a crash.

Have a 9 y.o. Scorpion Exo, perferated (sp?) jacket that has been lovingly cared for all if its life. . . because I appreciate all that leather is/can be and care for it accordingly. With my regular cleaning/conditioning, repairs/maint. done by a proper leathercraft professional, & occasional upgrades to the armor, this jacket has 1) stayed white, 2) retained ALL of its esthetic accouterments, 3) served me well as a three-season garment (Spr/Sum/Fall) since I bought it. It fits me perfectly & has done so through multiple changes in weight, with minor alterations by the afore mentioned leathercraft pro. Take care of your leather & it will take care of you.

I tried the Ignition out for a couple weeks. Loved the jacket overall, but could not get past how rough the cuffs are. The material around the wrists at the very end of the sleeve is equivalent to sandpaper. It rubbed my wrists raw, and I had to return an otherwise awesome jacket simply because they couldn’t wrap some sort of soft material around the cuffs. Bought an Alpinestars GP Plus R v2 Airflow and I’ve been super happy with it.

While we are talking about leather jackets i gotta mention Sweep. A finnish brand. I think its very good for northern dudes that has to experience cold weather. Inside the jacket there is waterproof liner and after that thermal liner. 2 waterproof pockets and 2 regular, inside the jacket there is phone pocket and mp3 pocket+a hole to feed headphone wire through if someone still uses wire. Without the inside bits this is still very warm, maybe too warm for southern brothers.

HEY F9 TEAM, you missed the Roland Sands "Ronin" jacket. I have it in tobacco, and man is it gorgeous! I get compliments every time I wear it, I've been in a slide with it and a little polish makes it look like nothing happened, it has room for armor pads inside, you can wear it off the bike absolutely perfectly, and the branding is almost nonexistant on it save a small "Roland Sands" text on the inside of the forearm. I searched high and low for 3 months for a jacket like it because it's durable enough to have it for the rest of my life, it's very protective, it looks beautiful on or off a bike, and I don't have to advertise a brand while wearing it.

Old video I know, but anyways... I was actually thinking the carry on jacket would work great in reverse - ride with it on, roll it up and strap it to the bike when you get to your destination if said jacket doesn't make sense. Maybe it's blazing balls hot out, or your going to... idk, a store or restaurant or w/e where "that look" or a heavy jacket isn't appropriate or necessary. But ya, guess you could also just strap it down if your a risk taker and are going for a short casual ride, and maybe want the option to armor up a bit if it gets longer, more serious or colder lol, than expected.
