What is the chance you will render the videos as actual 21:9 instead of rendering it at 16:9 by adding black bars at the top and bottom with 21:9 video? The thing I hate the most is watching a 21:9 video with black bars added to make it 16:9... Full-screen just means bars on the top, bottom, and sides because of this which kills my desire to watch the video

I bought one of the first SCR950's to ship to the US, I work at a dealer and have been working the same side of the argument from the beginning. A scrambler is a horribly inappropriate converted cheap simple street bike that looks and sounds cool as hell, and makes you feel like a hooligan. You are exactly right, modern "scramblers" just turned into dualsports and adv bikes. Revzilla dropped the ball on their review calling the SCR an underperforming parts bin special while riding around in the sand treating it like a wr250r. The bike has character and style, and mine also has completely rubbed down peg feelers and a skidplate so dinged up by rocks metal polish no longer helps. It's not particularly fast, very heavy, has painful ergonomics (muh shins) , no special electronics, a roar to set off car alarms as you stroll buy (thanks vance and hines) and it's hilariously bad at dirt riding. I love it. And it was so cheap by the time I get half way to wearing out it's indestructible cruiser vtwin I'll have money to buy another. Cheers.
@dougiequick15 жыл бұрын
An alcoholic might have character and style too, but at the end of the day? Just another drunk. Personally? I don't get it ...A.lot of things in motorcycling I don't get though so maybe it's me. I don't get harley's either or cruisers for that matter....I don't get 700 llb adventure bikes with knobbies. ....I have to admit being attracted to one impractical genre or at least the concept .. idea of a "tracker" style bike ...which I realize I would probably not like if actually ever bought one....they just look cool as hell and I fantasize sliding one on fire roads ....if I HAD to buy a "scrambler"? I'd buy a "tracker" and pretend it's a scrambler ...one thing though. I dont care what anyone thinks I would have a front tender on it!

I also got one of the first SCR’s (California Model too). 20,000 miles and bulletproof reliability. I road it across the county and back. It’s my preferred commenting machine. I ride it basically wide ope 80% of the time. It’s definitely not fast but will pull the wheel up with a little bit of clutch finesse. Lol It rips, makes you feel like your tearing up the road. My peg fellers are long gone... For the price you can’t beat it... Its just such a classic, standard motorcycle. If you wanted a brand new bike but only wanted to pay $4000. This is exactly why you would expect. Seriously you can go by a “New” 2017 with zero miles for like $4000 dollars in mid-west America. How could you beat that?!

This has got to be my favorite video on this channel. It's not the topic most relevant to me: even now that I know what "scrambling" is, it's not for me. Bloody fantastic vid. As an owner of an SCR950, I'll stand a little taller now. And when my Conti Trail Attack 2 wear out, it's back to knobbies for me. I went to the dealer in 2017 to purchase an NOS 2014 CB1100 for an amazing $7800. Standing right next to it was the SCR with a hand written placard, "$3999". I told the salesman, "Never mind, I'll take that one". I know I would have liked the 1100 Honda more, but really, a 950 for $4k? With the money I saved I purchased a Kuryakyn velocity stack with K&N filter, a Power Commander, and an Akarapovic pipe. I recently added a Motea parcel rack. My only real complaint it the instrument - the chrome bezel has no place anywhere the sun shines, and the fact that the well sharpened right foot peg is slicing up my jeans and boots.
