Hey Allen, One technique I have used for road building is dragging a series of I-beams chained together along the road to act as a grader blade. You can follow this up with a few layers of old concrete mesh to drag out all the bigger rocks. You have a serious job with that mountain being in the middle of your nice flat road.

We always used a "road maker' on the farm Michael Hammond's comment is spot on. Ours was an old waggon tyre (steel) with a couple of logs on it. Try it out you might be surprised. Thanks for the vid. Jim Bell (Australia)

Great work Allen. Ever though of running a metal detector over that fractured bedrock? Maybe there’s a bit shiny yellow stuff that could help with cost’s. I’d be giving Heavy D a thanks bro for the Excavator your little one would’ve been at that task for years. Not that it hasn’t done so much already, but time is precious.

there is a 2 part compound you can put in the big rocks just drill 2 inch hole and pour the mix in and wait 24 hours and it will fracture in pieces like you want

POPPING FREE THE BEADROCK... The Bedrock is actually Petrified Wood... OLD Giant Trees... Look Close as it and think about how trees are made with the rings that you are finding that you can pop free or break... Plus there may be GOLD in them OLD Trees Brother.. You might Pan a bit of the gravel coming out from the middle of the rings that you are popping lose... Good Luck Brother. Daniel

A guy in Grantsville had removed the m880 series ambulance cab and body and put on the short bed and extended cab. Things don't fit properly and is why it is slowly falling apart. The powertrain in rock solid though...

I wonder if your local concrete plant offers bulk bags like were used at cerro gordo with dave. If any of you military trucks are highway ready.. transfer the contents to 5 gallon buckets with lids to keep it dry.

Allen scrap some of that stuff to cover the concrete Coste and free up a lot of space. sometimes you have to let go of the stuff you have to make room for progress. god bless man get some rest

How does such a location get water for living, bathing, gardens etc way up on that mountain? Drilling for water has to be deep and a well could dry up after all that expense and effort?

Have a look into geopolymer you probably have all the ingredients on or around the mountain. Its a differant way ti make concrete/cement and it would be free!! Just your time to mix the ingredients and of course water. If you cant find info let me know here and il point you in the right direction. Love your vids and your commitment to your project!!! 🙏❤️

One thing about that window being gone in the excavator, it gives you another point of exit if you need to bail. Be nice if you could widen that path all the way down another 3 feet.

I'm an old rock hound, I wouldn't mind spending a day looking for fossils on your mountain. I think there would be some fantastic fossils or mineral colored rocks to find.

the cab is designed to be sealed and pressurized. the dust gets into the electrical components and will eventually cause problems

I was watching you pour concrete yesterday and I thought you were not that efficient. Why were you bring your water up one pail at a time,why not carry five gallon Jerry cans up and fill you measure buckets from these, it would save lot of trips. A cement mixer is a must. Are you using the track hole to lift the cement bags and water up to the top level? I think you building technics are fantastic but there is always better ways of doing things and I thought you were working harder than you need to
