The big difference was the siege. Sure, Riut had more military in Miguel base but he had no siege so while Riut town centers were all going down, Miguel just garrisoned every villagers and waited it out.

Hey man, I used to really like AoE 3 before I got on board with AOE 2 DE, I cannot quite articulate why I now prefer 2 waaaaay over 3. What's your take on this? Why do you prefer 3?

@@Lorenzo4IN I can't speak for him, but one of the biggest reasons I like AoE3 over 2 is the progression and customization of the card system. If AoE4 plays like AoE2 but has the progression of AoE3, I'll throw my money at them.

@@damientalrose553 Cards were one of the biggest turn-offs for me... I don't like that you don't start every game off on the same footing, and *especially* don't like that such pregame choices are initially locked. It's been years since I briefly played it, so maybe it isn't as bad as I remember, but I bought it to play an RTS, not an RPG or CCG.

Learn a build order (scouts or fc knights or archers) and start to master a certain civ.

I would advise to go Teutons or Franks and master the fast castle build order before going online or ranked. If you have time you could also go with random civs and try them al and getting to know their strengths and weaknesses. Let me know if this helps 😉

Am I the only one wondering why didn't RiuT go for cavalier since early Imperial? He definitely had eco for that (skirmishers' upgrades and onager tech were a lot more expensive) and they would have been so much better versus miguel's composition. It seems such a natural move, especially as slavs
